We visited friends with kids last night. It was nearly bedtime but they were super hyped so it was LOUD for a while. Still managed to stay up too late drinking once they were asleep, and paying for it now

Just went upstairs to hug my daughter and wish her happy 16th birthday. I can't believe the years have flown past so fast. It's been a bad year but my kids make it all worth it

I’ve decided to have a day off booze.

I finished for Christmas last Tuesday and have spent the last 5 days drinking. Not overly excessively but fairly constantly during each day finishing with a day/night in Manchester yesterday for our anniversary.

Feel like I need a day off as I’m currently in a cafe waiting for the wife and noticed my hands are shaking!

Although not helped that I’ve just bought a few bottles of wine and champagne :/

So, pretty big news for me in the closing days of 2019, as it looks like I’m going to be a dad for the first time in 2020. We’re not absolutely certain yet, but 2 separate tests have comeback positive, while the one my wife’s going to take tomorrow will apparently have a 97% chance of being accurate.

I just hope I don’t make an arse of this!

Congrats! But correction for you, knowingly becoming a dad for the first time! That could be other little funktopii running/sailing around out there!

I remember buying a Philips BT Cellnet for £79 PAYG phone and then when I got my first contract I think it was £10 a month for 12 months, which was a Nokia 3210 and now they can be £1500+ over 2/3 years.

Depends on the phone and contract you're getting. Anything iPhone will be over £30 (unless it's a cheaper model)

My Dad still has a Nokia 5110 on some ancient Orange contract where he just pays for what he uses and his bills are almost always sub £4 a month... I have no idea how he's still on it...

My Mum just upgraded from the OG Nokia 3310 to the new Nokia 3310... Tech wizzos in my family.
