Nought , Zero or Oh ?

Oh, Double oh, and treble zero. Not sure why but treble zero rolls off the tongue better I think. There are instances where I use zero though like the egg one above.

I guess double oh has ingrained in everyones brain due to bond otherwise I would more than likely use double zero.

If in person I'll tend to do it as Oh, but on the phone or in a noisy environment I'll go with zero as it's clearer.

Noughts and crosses game - noughts and crosses

Bar-X fruit machine - again noughts and crosses machine or "OXO"

OXO - ocks so :p

Child line - oh eight hundred, double one, double one

Binary - zero's and one's

“Oh” is a letter and bad habit to get into. Fine if a telephone number where it is clear you actually mean a digit but elsewhere you’re potentially going to cause mistakes.

I use oh at the start and then zero for phone numbers.

I think it's because "oh seven" is a phrase in itself since mobile phones predominantly started using that prefix in the UK, but if it were any other type of number I'd use zero, it just seems clearer to me.
Exactly this

I try to say Zero as O/Oh is a letter. I get annoyed at myself when if I'm saying out someones number I say Zero and Oh in the same breath.
