Anyone know of a left handed HOTAS, I have tried to search but only found one where you can separate the joystick and throttle but then the throttle has buttons on the right hand side which is no good if your right hand is on it

Can’t get this going. Keep getting this error when installing through gamepass. Anyone else had this?

I'm on a screen with a blue loading bar at the bottom, with literally no idea if it's crashed or installing! :p
Had that a few times on my journey so far and yes it has crashed or will do shortly, it should almost immediately turn into a progress bar and flash up details of each file it's downloading, before it inexplicably stops and throws you back to the desktop. I'm currently making more progress than I have previously which I think is down to disabling Bit defender, there was nothing in the logs saying it had blocked anything but I disabled it anyhow and so far so good.

t1600m can be switched to left handed

No issues luckily installing for me fortunately. It was from the store so downloaded started at midnight and was done by about 5:30. Have had a couple of issues though nothing too major but annoying

1. I cant get any ATC sounds at all. Saw the note about having the US speech pack when downloading. Installed that no difference. Its working but all I have is the text in the ATC window. Currently back to just having UK English installed but I must be doing something wrong. Cant find a thing anywhere else on the net it. Its set as default in the options IE Azure and default sound

Also treated myself to some rudder pedals for the first time. They work fine but the brakes are odd. In the sim the axis move from top to bottom along the axis as expected when you press them but when you go into the sensitivity screen its like they start from the middle and go up and then start again at the bottom and kind of bounce around. I can stop ok but they didnt seem right which is why I started diving into that. Any ideas any one?

Thanks. Good luck to all getting it up and running. Sorry to hear of the problems.

Thrustmaster TCA Officer pack is the only one I can think of that will work with both hands

No major issues for me here either.

But sadly got a problem getting the joystick to work. I've got a Cyborg X (waiting for the new Airbus stick to ship next month) and it detects it, but doesn't map any of the buttons. There doesn't appear to be an way to click and button and tell you what ID tag it is to map the feature such as brakes.

It looks like you can save presets, so i don't suppose anyone here uses a Cyborg X, or been successful in mapping an older stick?
Thanks

For those interested in different performance levels, my system is R5 3600, 1070, 32GB C16 RAM, installed on PCIe 4.0 M.2 drive. FPS at 'high-end' preset:

4K: ~20 FPS
1440: ~30 FPS
1080: ~40 FPS

I could obviously improve these by tweaking the settings or lowering the pre-set but those were my initial numbers. Mostly pretty smooth. Now if you fly under 2000 feet over Manhattan then my system started to chug a bit and was between 17 FPS and 20 FPS at 4K with noticeable texture pop-in. However, even just a short distance outside the city my figures were as in the list above (they also applied over the UK).

So overall not too bad but from around 1.5hrs play, will obviously benefit from a new GPU which I'm planning to get before the end of the year. Look forward to flying around a bit more in this game. Seems like it will be a relaxing way to spend some time.

In Windows settings apps select it and there's a repair option I think, not at my machine but there may be a cache option as well, you could try that, might fix it

That only repairs the installer, not the game. It repairs in about 2 seconds because there's only one file to check and repair. It's fail tbh!

I have Cyborg Evo and had no problem with mapping but you need to select it otherwise it will not detect imput. There is section saying assigned, you change to all and then select from list

All worked perfectly for me. Getting like 30fps on the high end settings at 1440p, less with the 747 at heathrow, and it feels sluggish. But it's so pretty I don't want to drop to Medium :(

Will drop to Medium and see how far I can get with settings tweaks. Has anyone seen any analysis of performance impact of each setting yet?

I've got a Cyborg X and it works perfectly. You've just got to map the axis and buttons for each setting. You've got to click in the top box under the setting and then press the button or use the axis. Then save the preset when done.

Up and running and playing, however had a nasty issue with excess drift on my Xbox 1 controller that works perfectly fine on all other games.

It was basically applying very slight right steering on the left hand pad causing constant rolling to the right that I'd have to amend. Couldn't even fly straight.

Luckily found a fix, just go to Controls, then Select Controller, then the Sensitivity box on the left. I changed the X axis from the default 0 deadzone to 50, and it flies perfectly straight now with barely any adjustment needed.

Likely will work just as fine with 25% or less deadzone, but 0% deadzone on a Xbox 1 controller L stick X axis was damn near unusable - and that's the default setting. Just a head's up.

cheers, was wondering about this, will have a go with those settings.

Getting decent performance at around 35-45 FPS with my 980ti, i7 9700k and 16gb ram, this is at 1440p at high settings.

I'm a complete novice to flight games, and I've only really done a quick few flights for a few minutes, hut is there like an easy A-B mode where I can follow waypoints and the game tells me when to descend and the right altitude for landing etc?
