Apologies if I've missed it already, but has anyone else had bother getting the Xbox beta app to install? Mine just fails after checking the agreement. "We weren't able to install the app (0x80070005)". I can only assume MS servers are being hammered with so many people downloading content?
Up and running with my own flight, have to say that is rather lovely.
Set up a flight from Kemble to Southampton with the microlight and even on medium detail the eastern side of Swindon is quite recognisable - the GWH Hospital, Coate Water and all the roads are in the correct place.
Some of the key controls (especially views) will take a bit of getting used to, shame there's not an option to apply FSX defaults. Setting trim was also a bit tricky as I had a tendency to over compensate with the keys.
I did try a flight in one of the autopilot equipped GA but as soon as I engaged Alt Hold, ploughed into the ground, so definitely work to be done there. However for VFR flying using Bing Maps data this is going to take some beating.
The nav map needs some work too as I can't see a way to apply user waypoints, however I note it is saved in .pln format so should be possible to use existing planning software to draw up a custom plan.

Thats one I was looking at, but if you use the throttle on the right hand side of the joystick the buttons on it are on the right hand side, I don't think my little finger is that flexible
That the only one I could find that is properly swappable, will have to have a closer look when is come out later in the month

nVidia GeForce Experience tool has a built in game record mode you can tailor, show fps, screenshots etc. Works nicely with no performance hit.
Thanks for that. It's quite fortunate that I'm due a Computer upgrade at a time when this game has come out though - timed quite nicely insofar as having once been an avid PC gamer for many years, I retired from PC Gaming some years ago and never really had any intention of gaming again, then I saw FS2020...
As well as that my Computer at the moment is 10 years old, it's an i7 930 CPU, 6GB RAM and a £30 gfx card, and it struggles with Adobe software for my Photography and video editing. If there weren't next gen graphics cards on the horizon I'd probably have already bought a new machine but I may as well wait now and buy the best CPU, RAM and GFX Card I can in a few months time.

Same here as i have gamepass I thought id try it, I tried assistance on and still really struggled you have to really be into planes , I just wanted to really see the landscapes etc while going to A to B
Just in case anyone on the internet has the same problem, it is because I was an idiot and configuring digital controls for the joystick rather then the analogue ones.

Can anyone tell me where the default location for the rolling cache is?
C drive somewhere, need specifics?
I've just been setting up a manual cache and can't get it to download anything but low quality, anybody had any luck otherwise?

Found it, problem was when I changed my cache location was that it kept an allocation on the original location and didn't delete it. Deleted it manually in Windows.

Guys, if no one knows what could be wrong that’s fine, but where could I go to find out? I’ve tried google, twitter etc already but nothing. I installed the small launcher thing off the GP app, then clicked play to go in, but that’s when this error comes up.Can’t get this going. Keep getting this error when installing through gamepass. Anyone else had this?
