I felt shame knowing fs2020 is on dx11. We let PC gaming down with that one.
I hear it launched with 11 but is moving to dx12 maybe dx12U. Could possibly in the future have the engine updated to be better with more than 4 cores too. Sounds tho like they rushed it and fans might of accepted a wait till these features were in already. I wonder if its possibly an arrangement with nvidia for their new high end cards which will probs make a lot of ppl upgrade to em. As the game came out very close to when the new nvidia cards are coming in the next week or two from what the latest news about their release are suggesting.

AMD's DX12 Ultimate Driver is in Beta, Nvidia didn't bother with any of that and just released it as is.... So that's how they can claim they have D12 Ultimate, so does the 5700XT just not officially yet.

It's funny they not talking about the other GPU's. They are only mentioning 3090. At a guess 95% won't own one and will get hAMPERE variant anyway. Besides the markup on those cards should carry at least another $250 at some retailers.

But it would be funny if the 5700 XT actually did get DirectX 12 ultimate features LOL.

Yeah I dont understand this obsession. Some are even saying they're considering getting a console instead because of 3090 pricing.

It's far from "3090 pricing". It's "3000 series pricing". The 3060 could be £400+. 3070 £600+.

What will we get for £200? A box of used tissues and a lock of Jensen's hair :p

So basically they're upset because their favourite brand is too expensive then.

Nothing from Nvidia obviously. AMD always pulls through though. My Vega 56 was only £201 last year.

I would say their favorite brand is far too out of reach for them. Most would consider a 3060/3070. But the potential cost increase is far too high.

Nvidia is pushing console sales. Buy more and save. LoL.
:D

Besides I cant imagine a die that needs that much cooling is in 7nm.

Sitting with my 1080 waiting patiently to upgrade. Did the whole PC (3950x, 64GB RAM etc).

I just hope AMD smash the 3080 on price and either same or better performance, not to fussed about the 3090 £1200+ type cards.

If AMD could dominate the GPU market for 2-3 years it would be great, finally pushing Nvidia to be more competitive on price. The last few years have been awful for consumers on GPUs, Nvidia have taken every advantage of AMD essentially being a none issue for them.
