Why did you choose the other two over the Ovlov? It looks to be a much better car.
BMW is a keeper. I've had it about 4 years now, seems a long time considering I only passed my test about 6 years ago! It has sentimental value. I'd wanted an E30 since I was 14, 6 or 7 years later I happened to see that an old boy was selling my one in a right sorry state, I pulled a sicky from work so I could go and buy it before it got bought by a breaker and essentially scrapped. Working on it has taught me lots of new skills and given me lots of confidence to work on my own cars, I have been to shows all over the country and made lots of new friends. As a car, I love how it looks, I love the noise the ticky old M20 engine makes, and I love the old school driving feel. But it is also a very capable car for its age!
I bought the Primera cheap for about £650 and sold the Volvo for about £4.5K, the main purpose of this was so that I can press on with getting the BMW booked in for bodywork and a full re-spray, because cosmetically it has been in a sorry state for a very long time.
Incidentally I do also find the Primera to be much more fun to drive than the V70R. It may be nowhere near as fast, but it is hugely more nimble and more capable through a set of bends, and with its 150HP 2.0 engine it has just the right amount of power to get a shufty on, but you have to really peddle it to get the most out of it.
So yeah the plan is to tidy up the Primera, get it looking something like it did before it got ruined with matte black rattle cans and stickers, spend a bit of time scrubbing and rust converting the underside, and daily drive it at least until I've found a new job and moved out.
