1.9-2.3x 5700xt.

I guess that confirms that it will be around 3080 performance then (if that pic is true)
Funny how most on this forum kept saying it won’t even reach 2080Ti performance. I remember pointing out that was a bizarre thing to say. I mean we all know AMD are behind, but it ain’t that bad :p

Fake. 1.9-2.3x could mean anything. They could have just benched at 8k and let the 5700 run out of Vram and say it was 30x faster.
If it was AMD they'd have said "up to 2x faster in 4k triple A gaming" so there's at least a point of reference.

Of course it will reach 2080ti. The 5700xt and radeon 7 are 2080 ish, they only need 20 - 25% more performance
They are stating 50% so 3080 is possible, and that's the amd way it seems, always reaching one tier below nvidia

Indeed.

Can we please stop the bike puns, you're all really starting to rattle my chain now.

Guys, please switch gears and move on - we're all getting tyred of it ;)

Will you PLEASE stop grinding my gears!

:D

Who cares?

How close is it to the 3080? Because if it's 30% slower, than I'll buy the 3080. But even if it's equal, I'd probably buy the 3080 due to DLSS and a change.

Who cares? Well its a thread on Big Navi. If your just gonna buy nvidia then thats it really just say it and move on.. You will be able to compare in December if you wait for the cards to start benching one another without any bias.

+1 It's just a vicious cycle.
lol

It's the same old AMD GPU cycle every time

massive hype, which is then proceeded by the full on grieving process of: denial, anger, depression and acceptance. Right now some AMD fans are in the denial stage and some went straight to acceptance which is a bit odd - don't give up hope yet, claim back on that hype train

No who cares how much better it is than the 5700xt? It needs to be better than the Nvidia, not better than it's previous card. It's like buying a Corsa because it's 60% faster than a Corsa even though the Fiesta is 40% faster than it and the same price. It's irrelevant how much faster it is than the previous Corsa if the Fiesta is beating it.

You don't buy something compared to something else that has no relevance.
