** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

I think that’s why I’m so torn between the FE and Aorus. I have a vertical mount and recently had new PSU cables, so having the FE I feel will hinder both of those things

Aorus is big ... would have been huge not for the compound fans.. refuse to say stacked fans as unlike the old one they are on the same plane .
Believe like the 20** you'll get a solid metal adjustable support stand too .
Rumors are 1815hz for master .. have to see

Don't think he was implying you go buy an AMD card. He has a point, there's a reason Nvidia didn't have a 3080 price point at £1k. Good competition is the best thing for consumers, even if you have no intention of 'going red'

+1
And that's the only reason they are priced more aggressively than the 2080ti, because of competition, it helps everyone in the long run.

Yup As I see it its Card for PAscal owners to upgrade feom like myself that want some godrayzzzz and jump in 4k performance.

As someone with a 1440p 100hz monitor, would it be better to get someone's old 2080?

Bound to be a flood of them on mm

I'm using a 2080 super (and a few weeks ago a 2080ti) and there are still games where you wont hit 100fps with both of them.

For example on the new avengers game, Its nearer 70/80 for me with the 2080 super. Thats with an i9 and 32gb ram.

But the 2080s will have to be cheaper?
And cheap enough to get people to bite

I'm kind of saying, is a 2080 good enough for 1440?
Ultrawide BTW

Currently on 1070

It is, but might as well pony up for a 3080 for the price.

Well that was exactly my intention, I have been happily gaming at 1440p maxed out settings on the 1080ti for 3 1/2 years and with GPU power spare too, but going off recent benches it's already looking like you'll have to turn some graphical features off next year to muster 60fps in 4k even with the 3080, so I'm waiting till Monday now and see the results without RT and without DLSS.

Are most games ok?
That's probably not too bad.
My monitor is 100hz freesync

Before this I had a 60hz no g/free sync

in that case it is generally a bad idea to buy graphic cards from this generation.. its generally best to supersede the consoles by atleast 1 generation
However, most guys talk as if they have no backlog of games... I have games from the DX7 era still languishing in my pipeline. I got a truckload of cds/dvds from a relative back in 2017 and had to install those dvd rom drives to play them

Reuploaded from chinese tube to my youtube if anyone wanna watch dunno how real/fake it is as it was posted here

Up north Scorchio :]

Sadly every AIB design will be even worse with the heat from all three fans blowing up to your cpu/ram and vrm (unless you watercool)

I doubt we'll see these half price, perhaps £100 off new?

I expect people will try.

For 100 I'd absolutely go for the 3k series.
Easy and full warranty, better performance etc is worth 100.

Will be interested to see how second hand market does

I've seen many 2080S going for around £400 mark second hand, I'd take one new if they where significantly reduced. £449 for a 2070S Gaming X or Gaming Trio going for £469, 3070 will be around this price also.

Im EXTERNAL watercooled with Car size radiator that can pasivelly cool down my rig when pulling 550w fromwall :D Basically i got Fanless pc. Would Need SLI to have PSU fan kick in as its 1.2kw that fan stays passive till 650w draw.
