One thing about the shuffle is patience...

If an individual gets upset about not being able to game...then they really need to have a serious chat with themselves...
Order Number: 586049(removed last digit)
14:25:14

This is for a EVGA card so I`m unsure on stock plans for them, seems that they have been removed from site as a pre order too...

If calculations are correct I am early in line numbers wise...

Fingers crossed EVGA supply the cards!!!
So You are around 80 behind me with order 5 minutes later

I was eyeing ip the 3090 and stayed away from the 3080 (not that I would gave even got one anyway)

I don't think I'll have a chance at this 3090 too seeing how things went, might just have to get a cheap gpu to 'rider' me over

I sold my GTX 1080 for £215 a day before the announcement..I’m now rocking a GTX 1030 so I can run my recording studio PC at 3440 x 1440p 100hz...it’s still too nice outside and composing is so much more rewarding then gaming...I’ll get a 3080 in a couple of months when I’ll do the odd bit of gaming on the dark cold nights to mix things up...

Spring and summer I don’t game at all...life is too short to stay indoors...and I’ll be too busy with my pond and my new greenhouse build project....going to grow my own and live a pastoral existence free from the shackles of capitalism :p

You think it's perfectly reasonable that they allow thousands of orders that had an ETA within the week on their site, charge for the shipping for next day etc, take FULL payment for them all (while still taking orders), email after raising prices and doing nothing to prevent bots, give an ETA of October/November/December after they realise they've completely messed up and then say your refund could take up to a week?

If you take payment for an item, you better have it in stock, soon to be in stock or have a reasonable expection for delivery. They have none of those. It could take months and months for people to get their orders and they're still taking the orders (and money) which is just making it worse.

They haven't even given people an idea of their place in the queue for them to make a choice on whether or not it's worth bothering to wait.

This is pure negligence and incompetence on a massive level.

Look, you need to understand. Nobody and I do mean nobody expected such high levels of demand. Staff have already stated that they got hammered a lot harder than they even do on black Friday. The site clearly had preorder on the product page across the board despite some Skus having very limited stock so they could honor sales on a first come first serve basis.

Overclockers are not responsible for how you chose to pay or what delivery method you chose. It's common sense though that adding multiple levels of complexity to a payment process like Amazon pay etc could be problematic.

If you're not happy waiting cancel your order it's as simple as that.

Interesting, I've just been looking into what is the cheapest GPU that can run my x34 @ 100Hz as I've also sold my card, do you mind telling me what model GPU you have got, I'm guessing it has a display port?

For someone who thinks life is too short, you certainly have time to post a lot of crap in here.

@easyrider well I for once Stuck to the STAY THE **** IN HOME rule cause that's what I got paid to do. Freaking ******** got paid for sitting home and cant even do that.
I gotta say that was fantastic CORVID HOLIDAYS SESH I had... In wildest dream I'w not expected that in my lifetime Ill get paid for sitting home getting messed up daily LOL

This bots buying cards is a cover story, even a script cant buy cards at the speed of light because u still have to navigate several pages to the cart and the bots would still suffer coping with the slow down of the site. People showed videos online while on the Nivida store refreshing at said time then immediately states out of stock. I believe there were little to no stock of the FE version, the people u see online selling cards at extortionate prices do not even have the card themselves, look at the POST date, they are relying on getting the card in time and even they are being trolled on Ebay with fake bids lol. Nvidia did this to inflate the price, they first reel u in with the price tag and then inflate it lol. They have sent all necessary parts to their partner cards, the same parts they would have used for the FE version and offered them $50 back for the first month. Once the month is over the FE cards will probably begin to see some light production.... (conspiracy, probably, but also probably true)

You're wrong. The bot work by knowing the exact URL's ahead of time, and simply places the order with pre-defined purchase method (CC details already saved) at lightning speed. We're talking milliseconds. It doesn't bother to load other elements of the page, such as images, buttons. The bot can do in less than half a second what it would take a human to do in 10 seconds.

This thread make me sad for the human race.... :(

Consume...consume....that's it, consume.

I hate it now that people are referred to as consumers. In my business I refer to people as CUSTOMERS. They are giving me their custom and for that, I'm grateful. The whole "consumer" phrase is just a horrible progression, from customer.

The attitudes of people to others these days, is a reflection of the "illegitimate child"- ised version of capitalism. Where it's acceptable, nay, expected, to shaft everyone else for short term gain.

I think that other gentlemen is right, forgot which one of u said it earlier, your queue depends on when they cleared your card, even though like on my account it showed the money going immediately but from OC end they have to manually confirm it I guess, so the time we might need to share is the time we received the confirmation emails?
My order info:
Date ordered: 17/09/2020 14:14:43 (MSI G X Trio)
Confirmation Email: 17/09/2020 17:48 (thought it was 8pm originally but I just checked my mail again)

You can still buy 2060 founders on nvidia, right now. Why do you think there is no more 3080s?

There are 2060s available as no-one wants them right now..

It's not in Nvidia's interest to make loads of 3080 FE's. The FE cooler is $150, and was created just to get excellent launch day reviews, where the thermals and acoustics are very good. Compare this to AMD where they've sent the press a $5 blower design, and had terrible reviews for years...

I imagine the bulk of the 3080's will be going to AIB partners, and they'll be £100-200 over MSRP until the new year at least, simply due to demand. £650 is just too 'cheap' today, in the era of free money, low interest rates and Furlough gong on, there's too much demand for production to keep up with.
