Look, you need to understand. Nobody and I do mean nobody expected such high levels of demand. Staff have already stated that they got hammered a lot harder than they even do on black Friday. The site clearly had preorder on the product page across the board despite some Skus having very limited stock so they could honor sales on a first come first serve basis.

Overclockers are not responsible for how you chose to pay or what delivery method you chose. It's common sense though that adding multiple levels of complexity to a payment process like Amazon pay etc could be problematic.

If you're not happy waiting cancel your order it's as simple as that.

Look, you need to understand, bots and massive amounts of traffic were expected. If they weren't, someone seriously needs to be fired. Nothing was done, at all. Using Black Friday as a UK metric is ridiculous. They are responsible for honoring orders within the time frame that they themselves posted on their site. If the card has an ETA of a week and they take expedited shipping payments, they better be able to honor it. But no, they took more orders than they can fulfill in months, are still taking orders, won't release people's expected queue placements and all the rest of the ******** they're trying to get away with.

Why is it always the people who post on the forums constantly who defend OCUK? They don't care about their consumers, or you.

There are 2060s available as no-one wants them right now..

It's not in Nvidia's interest to make loads of 3080 FE's. The FE cooler is $150, and was created just to get excellent launch day reviews, where the thermals and acoustics are very good. Compare this to AMD where they've sent the press a $5 blower design, and had terrible reviews for years...

I imagine the bulk of the 3080's will be going to AIB partners, and they'll be £100-200 over MSRP until the new year at least, simply due to demand. £650 is just too 'cheap' today, in the era of free money, low interest rates and Furlough gong on, there's too much demand for production to keep up with.
You miss the point, there are 2060s 2070s 2080 fe for sale right now on nvidias site.
I. E they kept Making them enough to be sold 2 years later
I. E they will keep making 3080 founders

Cause its well known situation since FE cards came to existance in 2016 ??
My Dad Always told Me. "There are not stupid questions, just STUPID PEOPLE" He's so right.
Man we all started somewhere, and saying that people are inherently stupid is unbelievably stupid. You should always ask questions that's how you learn

You miss the point. The 20x0's were overpriced and nVidia was making a large profit on them - so they kept producing them. The 30x0 series cuts massively into profits because the cooler is expensive and they've had to price them, what I suspect is, a lot lower than planned due to the AMD threat this generation.

Guys the Order Number and Date/Time of order do not corelate. It's probably to do with the delays in payment clearing and processing combined with various systems going offline, restarting and some manual processing etc.

If OcUK stick to their word on allocation of stock on a first come first served basis it be according to the Date/Time not the order number because there is absolutely no way a customer is responsible for OcUK system stability and payment processing that would not be on a first come first served basis, that would be a 'when we got round to processing your order' basis regardless of whether you were first or 1000th. You will also have orders not relating to 3080 purchase too caught up in this.

Obviously I don't know how OcUK are doing the queue and stock allocation in reality, its a question of trust at this point perhaps @Gibbo can elaborate next week.

Oh dude, I get you're upset but ask yourself why people defend OCUK? Because their customer service is 2nd to none. They've been amazing to me over the years as they have many others.

Why does it matter where in the queue you are? You're not getting one right away unless you pay the scalpers on Ebay etc. If you've paid, get a refund or wait, they can't magic stock out of thin air. You clicked pre order not buy it now.

This release has been particularly bad, because it's somewhat affordable for many other people, that is if you go by the MSRP. Going from Pascal to the 3000 Series is like night and day, so we know it's heavily sought after. I'll be perfectly blunt, all retailers, manufacturers and part suppliers are putting on a brave face, but we're living through troubling times. We've just went through, sorry, we're "STILL" going through a pandemic, in a recession where supply lines are heavily affected. Nvidia doesn't have as many because of the pandemic, and this goes for PS5's etc. They're all in the same boat.

Things aren't being produced to the same yield as before. Nvidia, Sony and X,Y,Z tech company can pretend everything is fine so as to not upset investors and stock prices. But at the end of the day the world is going through hell right now and releases like this will be more common until controls are put in place to mitigate manufacturing delays. These are processes which have yet to be developed by private companies when dealing with pandemics.

When will we get our cards? Honestly, who knows at this point. I'll keep my place in the queue and bide my time. The only interesting thing to watch out for will be to see how AMD utilise this disastrous launch to their own benefit. Popcorn is at hand.

... and if you are unhappy with the current situation then ask for a refund and you are free to go look for your card wherever you want...

This is like the 'monkey trap', you can leave any time you want, just have to let go of the banana.

I don't understand why people are cancelling their orders. Yes it might be a few months till you receive it but surely by cancelling you are going to be looking at 2021 till you get one?
