Don't you have seller protection for physical goods? Usually ebay will give you your money back, either that or Paypal

All of that is BS with eBay, they don't protect the business. The only protection is if the buyer says they haven't received the item and providing you send it to the address and it is tracked, and the guy turns around and says he hasn't had it, then ebay will pay you. But, seriously, eBay are beyond safe in offering that kind of protection. Whereas buyer protection is crazy. They can do anything they like and business sellers (not private) get royally screwed.

They said it was their mistake and they apologised. I got an email to say thanks for cancelling and queried it and then they apologised and said sorry it was their mistake it just to order another card. Which I stupidly did. I have all the evidence

Got a reply after about 10 ways of trying! They said they are really busy, have refunded me the original order (I haven't received anything) and that there are over 1500 people waiting for a cRd now and there is no ETA but they will manually put me back to the original queue position.

First time I've used over clockers and never again. I'm overdrawn, being charged interest, and nothing to show for it, not even an ETA. Really poor experience. I will believe it when I see it and the refund arrives as well as the card but not holding out much hope any time soon if my experience of the past week is anything to go by.

This thread is great for discussions regarding what stock is like, sharing order progress etc

But the constant "when will this card be shipped" "any updates when I will get mine?" "how many cards will you have in 3 weeks on Thursday at 4:24pm?" is destroying my soul

Read the update thread! Go back a few pages and read what's already been said. Surely no-one can be finding this helpful? Sifting through 10 pages of mystic meg questions every day?

Seconded!

Anyway, is there any updates on the Zotac Holos?

(Kidding!)

Biggest paper launch ever. No stock to begin with.

I mean this has been debunked multiple times now by people who have no reason to lie, aka gamersnexus.

The hype for this card was extreme, that mixed with most people skipping the 2000 series, the price being much better than many previous generations for the performance jump, AND the demand for all things computer being MUCH higher than usual the last 6 months because of covid = a disaster.

Its been said they had stock levels close or even higher in some cases than the RTX 2000 launch, however the demand was over 10x that of the 2000 series.

I did report him and he got a slapped wrist of eBay, that's it.
You can open a dispute if you believe that the card damage is as a result of his messing around. You should have photographs of everything, including the serial numbers, you did take those and have checked it is the same card you sent didn't you? Also take photos of the poor packaging and the state of the card as you got it back as further evidence.

Sooo silly question, because of allocations are OC prioritising UK customers, and for the US and EU people that ordered, is it still first come first serves bases for them?
The queue is still the same state it was in, there's no additional prioritisation happening, just orders from today are currently UK only. See Gibbo's update in the update thread (linked in signature)

Update if anyone is interested in the 2080ti I sold on eBay last week and they guy said it was faulty. Got it back today, shockingly poorly packed. Checked it over and it's dead. I can smell burned plastic/transistors on the card too. Seems he tried to put the stock fans back on and some how roasted the card. Sadly, as a business seller on eBay I can't do much - called eBay they said report him, but that doesn't get my money back, or the card! I'm never selling a card on eBay again and paying for someone else's mistake. Especially given the guy is stating that I must have shipped him a dodgy card to begin with, even though it was shown as working in a video in the description.

Heard one too many stories like this for me to ever consider selling anything on eBay. Once read of a guy who sold a 1080 and the buyer just shipped back an empty box when requesting a refund.
Sorry this happened to you.

They were absolutely mistaken, MSI do not have 300 for whole of UK I suspect let alone a single reseller, deliveries are generally 10-50 units at a time.

Any further updates shall be posted in the sticky thread.

There hasn't been any mention at all about MSI, only that it was one of the most popular ordered.

You've no ETA for any msi at all even a small batch?

I must be one of the few genuine buyers!! Bought a 1080Ti off an ebay seller, it arrivied, I fitted it, it worked, I was happy. No need to screw people over, saddens me that people pull this crazy ****, saddens me ever more Ebay blindly side with the buyer.

I really wish I went for a Palit now, lol. I went for a Palit Titan X when they were all sold out of other brands. I remember phoning up and the guy at OCUK saying "we have a Palit". They're overlooked cards, and to be honest, I never had any issues with Palit, at all. My initial choice was based upon MSRP price, which the Gigabyte eagle maintained, at least for the first hour or so after launch hence me not buying one.

Sorry but you being overdrawn is your own responsibility. Going overdrawn because you want the latest graphics card is crazy and irresponsible imo.

I had issues like this. It’s horrible. Even a non business seller you screwed if they say “drnt wrk”

I've videos and photos of the card working. There is a video of me opening the return. The serial matches that on my EVGA account. I'm going to refuse to pay him and then he will have to open up a dispute (I can't, I can only reply to his apparently) and take it from there. But, from experience, eBay will always side with the buyer.

Would love an update on the Zotac Trinity, the unofficial queue still shows me a number 4 so I'd expect I'd get one as soon as more stock arrives.
How can you be no. 4 and not have a card yet?? That number is no.4 in total for that card from what I understand and Zotac has supplied some of the highest amount of cards iirc.

All true but on previous launches, Inno3d and Palit are usually the first ones which come into stock (mainly cause they arent as popular as MSI./ASUS/EVGA here)

Gibbo is saying that, as OC don't get extra allocation (to take into consideration that they ship internationally) they are restricting all future sales to only the UK. They aren't getting any less allocation than they would have at the beginning of this whole thing. He's just pointing out that they aren't getting any extra allowance for being an international vendor - they're still being considered a UK stockist.

Um, block/stop/not allowing, it's all the same result. You misunderstood my post, any extra allocation (on top of original allocation) which could have spread any process up, howevery unlikely that would've been, regardless, is not happening, in your words "oc don't get extra allocation" in mine, blocked from any extra allocation, the result is still the same.
