It's mad how people talk with such indignant confidence about things they know nothing about haha. The world is stressful enough, why do people invent reasons to be annoyed for themselves?

True. Many think they are infallible. Usually, the same people that believe that feelings trump facts.

Most of us in the USA don't have it either. Micro centers are extremely limited, and they don't ship. This stuff is almost always local pickup only.(3 hour drive here)

The vast majority of US cities have zero retail stores outside of bestbuy.

We also wish we lived near a micro center.

At least you have that, in Ireland we literally have nowhere we can physically buy a 3080. Even most Irish IT sites are not selling them. UK is our best bet, even though we get creased on the exchange rate.

Sorry but you being overdrawn is your own responsibility. Going overdrawn because you want the latest graphics card is crazy and irresponsible imo.

I agree with this - I know everyone's financial situation is different, but if somebody desperately needs that money back if they don't have their card, that sound's like an ill advised purchase they got out of excitement and they should consider whether they can actually afford it. Also surely whether you have the card or not is immatterial? if you had the card you'd be in the exact same financial position, so you can either afford it or you cant

Um, block/stop/not allowing, it's all the same result. You misunderstood my post, any extra allocation (on top of original allocation) which could have spread any process up, howevery unlikely that would've been, regardless, is not happening, in your words "oc don't get extra allocation" in mine, blocked from any extra allocation, the result is still the same.

Sure, but why do you think OcUK would get "extra" allocation? Where do you think that would come from?

I'm just very confused about what you think happens in this situation - folk are presumably ordering all the cards they can to distribute to us, there's no extra to be had!

I was about to say lol, I could only dream of just a 3 hour drive, to somewhere as stocked as a micro centre, cabinets full of goodies, just floor covered with PC GAMING GOODNESS!!
SO yeh, I wish I could take a 3hr drive from where I live to end up somewhere like that.

Couldn't agree more. This isn't food, a roof over your head or insurance. Don't risk those for the sake of getting the latest new shiny shiny.

I don't know, ask Gibbo, he was the one who first mentioned anything releated to "extra allocation". I would've never even dreamt of it, so you'd have to ask him, not me.

What's that got to do with me being ripped off? You pick on that point and ignore the rest. Why be so self righteous? The point is that they have made a mistake and totally cocked it up.

So I could have waited an indefinite period of time and been missing out for weeks cos of their mistake? If they refunded straight away or came up with a better solution then I wouldnt have been in that dilemma. Really cruddy take of you that

Any idea when these will be shipped?

That price is depressing, my upgrade itch has gone £650 was just about ok, but to go from that to 800 notes, no thank you. I guess I wont be buying one until they drop to RRP just before 4000 series. It really does seem the best time to buy a nvidia GPU now days is just before the next launch.

You are completely wrong.

If they hadn't messed up then I wouldn't have had that dilemma. Nice, classy victim blaming of you there

I must be one of the few genuine buyers!! Bought a 1080Ti off an ebay seller, it arrivied, I fitted it, it worked, I was happy. No need to screw people over, saddens me that people pull this crazy ****, saddens me ever more Ebay blindly side with the buyer.

I sold my Zotac AMP Extreme 1080ti on ebay. Repasted and in mint condition. Got a lovely message from the buyer over the moon with it. I would never sell something faulty. It's a shame it seems so common

That sucks! I had a similar issue with ebay, sold my Vive to a guy who said it "wasn't compatible". I contacted ebay, ebay didn't want to know at all and just refunded his money without me even getting the vive back! Livid, not used ebay since.

years ago i sold a PCI gfx card for good money before launch of a new card. Guy who bought it turns out only had a AGP board and it wouldnt fit so he filed with Ebay for a refund and Ebay gave him it. I got my card back but by the time I could relist it, the prices had dropped by £100 :(

But I'm not risking a roof over my head or insurance?

Why are you saying I am?

Why are you deliberately missing the point that over clockers have made a mistake and not fixed it and focusing on my financial situation?

Your take is pathetic.

Are you deliberately being obtuse?
