Honestly, thank you for this information! I'm going to give it a go.

As other's have said, why on earth is AMD not making a bigger deal of this??

AMD have not, I did see it in the driver release info a few times though (was there if you read it).

It will get drowned out anyway by nvidias stuff, but people who use the AMD software that dont just install and use in-game settings will know about it and have championed it on here many a time before usually getting gunned down.

Then they're children, anyone with a brain is brand agnostic and goes for whichever product gives the best performance or range of performance for their specific use case. Unfortunately most people are deeply conservative and still buy Heinz ketchup without realising Lidl own brand is 30% of the price and tastes as good/better. People like to identify with premium products and brands......simples.

LIDL ketchup doesn't taste anything like Heinz! :D

Virtual Super Resolution is not DLSS or similar. It works all the time when enabled, even on your desktop background wallpaper and image.

How to enable 10-bit colour?

Glad someone else noticed. If you check the ingredients the Lidl one has more tomato in it than Heinz. In fact a lot of the big brands are now substituting glucose fructose syrup for sugar. I've lost trust in branding these days, I do my own research and buy on that basis rather than blindly buy by name.

Turn on Super Resolution and RIS. in your game set a lower than native resolution for higher performance or keep it at native resolution and enjoy the sharper image.

Why do you need Super Resolution enabled if you're setting your res to lower than native? I thought it was for producing a higher resolution than native

It wouldn't make sense to do that. VSR is purely used to artificially increase to a higher resolution then the monitor's native.
Lowering the resolution to less then native and then using VSR to bump it back up to native wouldn't get you any more frames and it probably wouldn't look quite as good.

And thats the point, once you become habituated to something you avoid anything else even when the only difference is simply taste and you continue paying twice the price :P

I always buy the cheap colas and save a fortune they don't taste the same but after a short time you adjust and you don't notice the difference anymore. Brand habituation is everything.

That's interesting. I didn't know you needed to use VSR. I've been using Sapphire Trixx.

Shouldn't the title be changed to reflect that 21 is the 'big' one?
Actually Navi23 was/is the nvidia killer not big navi. That's 2 separate things.
Big Navi is Navi21
Back then when it was 1st reported Navi23 was/is considered nvidia killer.
Big Navi is not Nvidia Killer

I'm with you on that. By design ketchup isn't particularly a taste sensation but Heinz is far better. My wife always buys rip off versions of things to try and convince me and maybe 1 in 5 are ok the rest are rank. Haha!

I'm not a regular ketchup consumer (and tend to always use offbrands for everything nowadays anyway) but I seem to remember the best tasting one I had was Daddy's, it was more vinegary than Heinz, but the last time I had that was more than a decade ago, dunno if they even still have that brand.

They made a big song and dance about it and FidelityFX last year when the 5700 series launched. Then Nvidia launched the Supers and nobody cared.

I also think the grand scheme of things is as 80% obviously own an nvidia card, they dont even know what it is or looked into it. Lets face it, if you have bought nvidia over the past two or three gens you would not have seen any of the decent features your getting now.

From the various reports now of the 3080 crashing saga, you could say they have been stitched up like a kipper!

it doesn’t look good with tons of AIB cards being built out of spec does it :D. Shows the shambles that is strangling control on a dodgy launch.

Or they are brand locked.

I use two screens for gaming, they both don't support Freesync and only support Gsync

Switching to AMD would cost me a hell of a lot more because I'd have to buy two new screens
You made that decision though when you bought the gsync monitors. Nvidia4life!( or until those monitors need replacing):D
