I doubt it, i budgeted for £600-650inc vat. AMD tend to add £50 for the first phase launch and then drop the price.
The reference 6900XT looks like its coming with a AIB quality, triple fan air-cooler and 16GB Vram, i think it would be still good value at that range.
I do think the 6700XT (or whatever the 3070 competitor is) will be a bargain special though, once we get to first week in feb.
Manufacturers have been releasing new versions recently so it seems the 5X00 cards are here for a while.

I reckon it'll be closer to £600. It might even be just a little more expensive after the fiasco of the 30x series.

+1 The die is big and 7nm is costly. AMD are in quite a bit of debt still and need to make hay while the sun shines, i.e. while NVidia are pricing their parts highly / botching their designs.
It's something I haven't held against AMD for their NAVI pricing, which is high for the ~250mm2 die size. Better for all if they make money, and sink that money into R&D than try to compete at tiny margins. On that, I recon AMD will halve the 5700xt price on the 6000 series release and still make margin while clearing any existing stock.

That picture is a bloody slide from 2010, it even says so on it! For starters it says 40nm, that should be a huge give away even if you did not see any other info. Haha.
Let's just say I had that exact card and specs about a decade ago
I actually have that card about 1 meter away from me right now in a box

lets be real, if its a great product the launch will put even nvidia to shame (not in a good way)
AMD will be emerging from a low market share position.. and wont be building speculative inventory
we are looking at some unrealistic wait times here.. so i am hoping for a product that underperforms 3080 in single digit percentages.. then youve got the fabled finewine which i havent personally experienced yet

ALl AMD need to do is match or be around 5%-+ from 3080 for same price but widely and easily available. no sold out in 2seconds crap and its a wrap.
Nvidia rushed the 3000 series and should have waited until they fixed the PCB AND had enough stock to cater for the demand.
THey are treating there gpu's now like ******* Yeezy shoes!!(GO and google how difficult it is to get yeezy shoes and the use of bots)
