Technically went down (29 to 28) in queue for an Eagle, but I'm switching over to an asus tuf so doesn't really count :p Apparently I'm 40 in that queue though, dunno where I would've been before.
Wait what? This is BS. Why allow people to jump queue? That's unfair.

Hi, could someone please help with my question as I don’t want to bother overclockers support right now if I don’t have to. I bought a 3080 through amazon pay and now I’m worried that will affect my order time and position in the queue. I made an order at 5:07 On the 17th according to ‘my orders’ on the overclockers website, but the confirmed payment email From Amazon didn’t come through till 2pm the next day.

So anyone know how it works? 5:07 might not be the earliest order but it’s far better than 2pm on the 18th :( also if that’s the case I won’t use amazon pay when I perhaps try for a 3070 instead. Thank you.

Like I said it's almost like this is the plan to reduce order numbers, don't tell us anything until people have cancelled enough to deal with the orders

Out of curiousity could you let us know how you switched to a different card? Did OC assure you that your order time was still valid? We've heard mixed things about that.

I switched from a Ventus (I was nearly 2000 in the unofficial que) to a Palit due to lower order volume by ringing up and paying the difference. It has editied my order on the site and order number stayed the same. I didn't expect to keep my place but seems I did. Although I ordered so late I am near the back of the Palit que anyway. They said you are only eligible to switch depending on your payment method though. (Assume finance can't)

If OCUK are really letting people switch to another card while keeping their place in the queue, that's much worse than then the irregular updates/queue calculator wait

Call just went through and I'm switched over to ASUS TUF :)

Couple of things they mentioned on the call too:
- Order queue tracking should be done quite soon and we'll hopefully be getting weekly updates as well
- There's a small batch of ASUS cards coming in tomorrow, but they weren't sure if my order (which is 40 on the calc) would make it into that.

Honestly I get why people are angry about OC letting us swap cards and I do agree it's an odd thing to let us "queue jump" effectively, but they're offering it so I'm not going to say no considering the difference between the gigabyte eagle and asus tuf now they're out in the wild. If it's any consolation my order was early enough that I got the gigabyte for 650 so I did lose my "early-bird discount" and have to pay an extra 70 today :p

My original was PayPal and I paid the excess by card if that's any help to anyone

We don't know. All we have is second hand info reposted of what people have been told by customer service, passed on via chinese whispers. I'd reccomend posting in the customer service forum or calling in if you want a answer about your specific circumstances, because that seems the only way to get direct info, and I'm not sure how much of that is just water cooler rumors the customer service staff have heard, and how much is decided policy.

Yep, same for me. Paid originally by paypal paid the difference on my card

So hold on.... people are being allowed to change cards and keep their place in the queue? Can someone at OCUK confirm this? It's pretty unfair if true :(

Funny how that doesn't apply in the business world. Feel sorry for anyone forced to keep working at a less than ethical company (most of them) just to pay the bills.

I was 800-something in the unofficial queue for the Gigabyte Eagle - order placed later on during launch day due to site crashing. Snagged an order on an FE last week and waiting for that before I cancel with all the controversy around the capacitors and lack of communications from board partners and retailers regards ETA/production figures.

While I begrudge even paying the MSRP at this point I really need a new truly 4K capable card and I'm not willing to wait any longer than I have to. I feel the demand for the 10gb model alone indicates trouble down the line for other SKUs, including any AMD offering, especially if they are comparable or better value.

I never buy computer parts on launch day and I was genuinely excited for this product, the Eagle variant in particular, from a price/performance perspective but it seems that the industry really needs to get its act together. That excitement is now dwindling before I have even received the product and it is this feeling I will remember next time I am due a new card, so well done all involved.
I buy at lunch day. TBH expected this with all money people got to blow up cause of corvid.

You are either trolling us hard without proof, or Overclockers just broke Consumer law multiple times by this process...

What is your order time may i ask

If OCUK are really letting people switch to another card while keeping their place in the queue, that's much worse than then the irregular updates/queue calculator wait

This is really annoying if so because I had a ventus on order really early on the 17th and I cancelled that before the form went live over the phone, didnt even think to ask to keep my place in the queue because the support rep mentioned the queue would be much larger for the Asus TUF I ordered after. So I am really gutted if that is the case as they wont le me do it now.

Where the F are Gigabyte cards??? im getting ****** why did i ever buy the Eagle that was meant to "come next week"
next week is 5 working days not just ******* MONDAY for Your's information. Alo they came in last week just like 20 of em.

People like me, around 500 according to the Unofficial cal would probably have to wait till the end of October or the first 2 weeks of November if lucky. That is why i'm just waiting for an official queue this week and maybe some info regarding the shipments if they don't come up with a Queue # today or tomorrow I am cancelling for good. holding up peoples money for 3 months without a word would be a joke.
October ?? I'd forget about October if i was on 200+

i suspect that is because OC seem to be letting people swap to a different card but keep their place in the queue. So if they see one brand starting to be delivered they can swap their order to that brand and queue jump ahead of you for that card, for the card you may have ordered on the first day. If this is correct its really bad form by OC

Surely that's not the case? First of all it'd make zero sense for OC to do that since it adds way more work for them to do
