I got off the phone with OC customer service as I did not receive my order number. They told me that the official queue calculator will be emailed by the end of the week.

Someone earlier mentioned that as of tomorrow this is no longer possible - no idea how legit that claim was of course but just worth mentioning

Yeh that matches with the guy I spoke to saying that they would be changing the swap policy 'very soon'. He didn't say as of tomorrow, but from reading posts from people that have spoken to CS, everyone is hearing variances of the same thing.

Being optimistic with this current situation i wonder if with the launch of the 3070 and also the launch of the AMD line up that many people will move over to those cards,

If so maybe there will be a chance that the rest of us may see our 3080s by mid November perhaps, i hope so anyway.

They said same last week. Taking bets to pay off my 3080. 105:1 odds they actually stick to word.
I'm starting to wonder the same...
oh that one is easy. EBay with rest of stocks :P

Just been informed that my Palit is on the way. I was order number 586587* ordered 17:30 on the 17th. I was 88 on the unofficial calculator.
Promise to keep you informed as to how I get on. At least you`ll have a taste of what to look forward
to when your cards finally arrive.
All the best chaps.

Dude, you can't be that naive. Retailers place orders and those orders get fulfilled by the distributors, they tell you when you should be expecting the deliveries and at what prices... this info gets exchanged every week. If many competitors can provide customers with an ETA, it means that they actually have contact with distributors or partners. The fact that OCUK can only say 1 day or 2 before sending these 30 cards out for customers shows the low level of commitment they have with customers because they know every detail about shipments weeks or months in advance, it isn't random. Stop being irrational to justify something that can't be justified.

100% agreed.
You Will find out more information contacting the manufacturer directly than you will from the retailer you gave your money to.
This is totally ass backwards

Didn't want to call OCUK over the last 2 weeks as I understand they will have high volume of calls.
But after all this talk of card switching and queue jumping with conflicting info here on the forum I had to call to put my mind at ease

Apparently from today you will join the back of the queue if you switch cards.
Find it hard to wrap my head around why it wasn't like that since day 1

Guy on the phone was very polite and after clearing up the whole queue jumping scenario, I also politely asked the guy could he give me any idea where I was in the queue after seeing plenty of posts here about it
Was told they can't give that information, directed to the forum (lol) and that any information they have is on the forum already

Clearly not when you see how many people have got differing information on the phone.

They did say they would be emailing queue positions "soon"

So the Tuf 3080 which was ~£650 at launch, is now £719.99, and most cards as far as I recall were less than 719 at launch. So, only those who originally ordered one of the quite expensive cards could swap, or someone who ordered later when the prices had gone up.
I suspect it may be because they are flying in small orders to meet the immediate demand which costs a lot more per unit than a container. The supplier will pass this additional cost onto the retailer which will have to increase prices to make a profit.

Wow. I DARE them to reveal both the original position you ordered, VS the new position after queue jumping was allowed. I guess in a weird way if your position is past the unofficial queue, then you got railed hard to the back by jumpers.
