Finally got it 3090

Aside from the above posts, I'd say be patient. There will be driver updates... I'd guess a lot of what you're seeing is what happens with nearly every new GPU launch. Take 'em a few weeks to iron out the gremlins!

Just checked the Nvidia site for the Recommended System Power for the RTX 3090 and it states 750W with an I9 10900k, so the op should be ok on the power front.
Check for yourselves.

Nvidia is being extremely conservative with that number to not look bad.

min reality many people including reviewers have had issues with small power supplies, even 850w is sometimes a problem. I would go straight to 1000w

What psu would you recommend 1000w?
Tbh i'm using a 750W EVGA GQ gold rated psu and its perfectly fine. I'm pulling around 580-600w at the wall full tilt which gives me some measure at least so i know i have head room.

Despite what everyone says, you really don't need a 1000w psu for a 3090... its madness.

Only reason I haven't gone completely gaga and gone with an in-stock 3090 is my ****ing 650w PSU :D

PSUs are cheap...... also probably good to have an 850 plus for the OC aib 3090s. The real power hungry ones and not like the power constrained zotac 3090

Do you have an i9 10900k as well?
