AMD Navi 23 ‘NVIDIA Killer’ GPU Rumored to Support Hardware Ray Tracing, Coming Next Year

this entire thread for the majority of it is made up on the back of a fag packet before some youtube expert throws up a video confirming it as fact from "sources".

all we know is they have a card that does 4k gaming around 3080 levels or performance. 20 days kiddies and we will know more.

Anyone remember that video stating that Big Navi will be:
2080ti + 15%
lol

IMO once they signed the deal with Sony and Microsoft any chance of a decent APU went peeing in the wind. They will never release anything even close. It would undermine console sales, and I would bet they have signed all sorts of contracts any way.
I don't think releasing a £699 GPU is going to affect console sales at all.

PC gamers like to think they're a viable alternative to consoles but for 99% of gamers, they're not even in the equation or conversation as a living room gaming experience (Sadly).

So, the top Navi 2x GPU is about 9 FPS behind the RTX 3080 in DX12 games such as Borderlands 3 and Gears 5, at least compared to the results here:

Should be set to smash the RTX 3070 perf. then. And hopefully in spec (likely cheaper, greater capacity GDDR 6) and price too.

Techpowerup were using Ultra not Badass quality in Borderlands according to other sites and users who have a 3080, this knocks a good 10% off the result. The Gears 5 result looks high compared to other sites which put 3080 performance in the mid 70s.

Top Navi card? When?

Stage 3 of grief, Denial

:D

Any idea which Navi they are launching first, or are they launching them all together?
if they are launching one version first then that could be the one the benchmarks are for

Oh no, some still think AMD is holding back their best card lol. Like a secret weapon that is never used.

AMD are showing their best GPU, it beats the RTX 3070 and RTX 2080 TI. Why on earth would they show the performance of their lower end GPU first, thats just stupid.

Maybe more will be possible later, with factory OC models. Thats a good result, considering the 5700 XT struggled to keep up with the 1080 TI.

Makes zero sense to show their absolute best right now when they gave a launch scheduled for 2 weeks time, this was just a sneak preview.

Lisa Su said everyone has been asking to see big Navi so here it is, she never mentioned which card it was though, and why would they? That would make watching RDNA2 reveal pointless outside of price reveal.

Scott Herkelman in an interview with Brad Chacos post zen reveal states explicitly "We never mentioned which big navi that was" clearly baiting people.

Leading up to today Frank Azor has been bullish on twitter when talking about RDNA2

All the signs are there, previous Zen launches with the "Wait a minute thats not all we have" queue top tier chip, they done EXACTLY the same this zen launch showing 5950 last.

But everyone is convinced they just showed all their gpu hand in 3 mins? Lmao

They are playing this bigtime, stage is now set for the 28th, they know they already have 3080 queue buyers second guessing their purchase decision, sowed a little seed of doubt, left it festering off the back of their Zen3 decimation of Intel..

Masterful marketing this time round, they know they have us waiting to see more.

Oh no, some still waiting for their 3080 to be processed hoping they don't have to wait until 2021 to get one. Hopefully they can get at least a 10% overclock without having to volt mod it. And can pay somewhere near MSRP by then.

Let's pay attention to how Lisa announce this GPU.

22:24 Mark
"This is the AMD Radeon 6000 Series. Which we affectionately call Big Navi thanks to many of you who nicknamed it for us...."
When she explains the benchmark she states.
"Let me show Borderlands 3 which is a very popular triple A title running at 4K resolution. On the Ryzen 5900X and our Radeon 6000 Series..."
She may have shown us Big Navi but it's not clear if that's the card benched. Therefore, I cannot confirm if results are from the top sku at this time. ;)

Coreteks on suicide watch
haha

Nice short response for you, wait for 5nm GPUs, should be next year...

They wouldve said it wasnt the highest end card lol, theyd just rather add some spin by calling it rx 6000 series, and not announcing the name gives them something to discuss later.

Remind me again why you are posting in this thread? Isn't your 3080 set to be manufactured in December?

I'm going to make a radical prediction that come 28th Oct your contribution to this thread will dramatically decline
