*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I got my 970 and 1070 from OC on launch day which is why I came here for this launch. Site said expected stock on 21st September which I was ok with. Hadn't realised the stock expected was 10 cards and I would be 240th in the queue. Still, got it at MSRP so can wait it out. Was going to go with the 3070, but the Mrs gave me the nod for the 3080 and I expect it to last me another 4 years like the 1070 has. I used to upgrade pretty much every year, first upgrade was from a VLB card to an AGP one :D

Yea i had ....280, 285, 580, 680, 690, 780, 780ti, 980, 980ti, 1080ti now 3080, i dont want to upgrade as much. I ALWAYS got a card on launch day all form OCUK and cards before the 280 too, I was shoked as I went back through my OCUK invoices!

This new age scheme of selling/buying stuff is just pants.

Based on this thread and the info received from Giga man, it looks like there has been no recall or delay to the Eagles, due to the "issues" raised. He has said that any that were shipped with the issue will be fixed by Gigabyte, and that all cards produced from whenever the issue was identified would not have the problem, as they have now corrected it.

In short, I don't think the power connector issue is the cause for the delay (at least, based on the limited information we have).

And do you think he would admit it if it were true?

Same here... they were not the best at all... DPD have been pretty spot on though

I've always liked DPD until recently. Generally they are pretty good. However my last 2 deliveries have not been so good.
2 deliveries ago the driver left my 10700k and z490 in my neighbour's bush and said that I had signed for it. I looked on the website and I found a picture of a bush that I have never seen before with 2 boxes under it. The signature that he said was mine said "Neil Franks" I reported them missing and the next day my neighbour from down the road fortunately bought them around to me, the boxes were both absolutely battered. I was in the house when he delivered so not good on many levels.

Last delivery from DPD, same driver threw the box containing my Viewsonic XG350R monitor from the back of the van, skidding across my drive. As I rushed out to tell him to be careful the driver dropped it again from chest height onto my front step. Couldn't believe it worked when I got it out of its smashed up box.

He must be the worst driver that DPD employ. Honestly, hermes must have trained this guy.

Absolutely, we'll be holding you accountable for this. Absolutely no upgrading for the next 4 years (unless something proposterously amazing comes out and games suddenly become undesirable on a 3080).

I've just found my OcUK invoice for the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro from 2003. Paid a massive £270 for it. :D

Hello everyone,

Is there any info on the Asus ROG strix 3080 non OC, I ordered mine launch day, but I didn't see a single line on any stock or expected delivery dates !!!!

I may have misread some of the posts here - but it seems that the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Eagle OC 10GB has not actually surfaced at all at OCUK? Am I reading that right? If that is the case, I think it's only right that someone speaks up as to why. @GIGA-Man said
That shipment would have left over a week ago
when I asked why other Gigabyte cards had arrived, but no Eagle's arrived this week. But it now seems the Eagle OC has not arrived.....at all....ever? If there is something wrong with this card - then not saying anything is bordering criminal IMO.

Got some haribo :]

Just got a reply back from one of the other UK retailers.

I asked why they had discontinued the Asus Strix 3080 OC and they said they don't expect to get them for another 4-5 weeks.

Sad face.
