*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

I've not bought any games yet for Quest 2. None are on sale but the rift versions are on sale and are better looking. It's annoying that all my rift games won't work stand alone on the Quest 2, also my games I bought on Gear VR should work too but no.

You could play your rift games via link or Virtual Desktop. If a game is cross buy and available on quest AND you bought it in the oculus store you get the quest version for free, including some games originally bought for Gear VR. I have a few games in my quest library that were originally purchased for my Gear VR.

What's everyone done headphones wise? I'm not a fan of the built-in speakers at all.
I'm just using a pair of earbuds that came with my phone at the moment, but looking to get something half decent wise nearer Christmas. Been looking at the Shure SE215 or Linsoul Blon BL-03's, will probably end up with the Blons as they are cheaper unless the Shures come down for Black Friday.

So, having a couple of Quest 2's and letting the kids loose on one, I have one thought - who the **** at Oculus thought it was a good idea to have a white textile headstrap? :(

Koss KCS75's are very popular. Ive got a pair and cant tell im wearing them, very light weight. Sound quality is great with decent amount of bass.
Im just getting some 3d printed brackets made so they can fit on the elite strap.

I csnt seem to cast on to the app. Any tips?
Just get black screen

I know it sounds daft but have you tried restarting your phone. Had the same problem and restarted the phone and it worked fine. I seem to remember connecting via 4G then turning on the WiFi on the phone

I'm no audiophile but I thought the built in speakers were pretty good and I think I'll be happy with them. They're better than the ones on the original Quest especially regarding positional audio and volume/bass.

Got to say - enjoying the clarity of the screen Vs the Q1!

I know I've gone on about black levels, but actually - it's not that bad. Not as good as Q1 in this regard, but certainly good enough.

If I'm going to play a particularly dark game I'll get the Q1 out, but otherwise my go to headset will be the Q2.

Boots up loads quicker as well.

I think it's because im used to CV! headphones which I thought were very good.

I'll check them out. Good price. Cheers

Noob question but what's the quest wifi name. Not showing up in my router settings. Trying to change it to 5ghz

Got the ‘fit pack’ delivered today which has the thin and wide adapters plus the light blockers.

With the one supplied on the Q2 it would fit my face but the side arms of my glasses where being squashed. With the wide adapter this is now solved.

I know some glasses tend to be on the wide, large style so this pack is perfect. The light blockers cut out about half the light you can see down the nose section so not a complete blockout but certainly a small improvement.

Anyone have an issue where there in a SteamVR game and the menu button on the left controller won't open the SteamVR menu? It opens in VR chat and other games fine just not Beat Saber.
