Just annoying as I had some store credit there. Best laid plans and all that...
Makes sense given how the yields would work. Those are much easier to make consistently.

Just picked up an MSI X570 Tomahawk mobo and Z63 aio in the vain hope of snagging a 5900x from somewhere.

Looking at a 5900x if I can snag one tomorrow. Any good Mobo recommendations around £300 mark? Is it worth paying the extra over Tomahawk?. Coming from a 6700k too so should be good whatever I can get. Thanks.

I mean, the tomahawk is at or just under £200, so.....yeah? It consistently reviews at the very top, or if you can splash out then the MSI Unify is a fantastic choice as well - but that's pretty much only if you need 3x PCIe 16x ports and 3x M.2 slots.

Yes. It's an awesome board. On release I paid 220 for it from here. It's so worth that. And can be had for cheaper if you search about.

Yeah possibly. All random isn't it. I don't think I've ever experienced this much hassle getting PC components before lol
Part of it is just stressful. Small part is a bit exciting scouring the internet for parts. I guess it'll make building a PC more satisfying when I have all the components

Agree. Definitely seems solid and can be had below £200. MSI and Asus are doing offers through November so I'll narrow down my choice tonight.
Perhaps what they're reading in this thread is having an effect upon their pricing. People, including me, are hungry for these and with worries about stock levels are more likely to pay a bit more if it means securing the goods.
Despite being a loyal OCUK customer/supporter I must admit that the handling of the recent nvidia cards has seriously affected my desire to see here as my first stop. I'm hoping they snap out of the opportunistic pricing and general silence on stock levels although I'm not feeling a change with the sudden increase on these.
