I'm sitting here with a 3080 Inno3d X4 pre-order, I'm like 53rd in the queue or something. I'm really contemplating switching for a 6900xt as I just ordered a 5950x 51st in the queue. First time this has been a hard decision in a long time.

If you can’t get a 6900xt on the first day you will probably end up waiting just as long as you are now anyway!

We dont know the AMD restock times, I would imagine slightly better than nvidia's because a) they dont hold 80% market (less people will buy them proportionally) b) TSMC can churn them out quicker than Samsung can.

Ed-

Oh and c) the AIB's seem to be given the green light to follow with their cards a few days later so may not be as bad as the green team launch.

It’s still going to be weeks if not months. Asus and others have already said there’s going to be very limited stock.

ASUS arent a very good AMD partner. I wouldnt be buying any AMD card from them put it that way. Check out the 5700 coolers was horrific.

No denying that, I’m just saying I think people are in a bit of denial if they think there’s going to be no problem with supply initially. TSMC are probably at maximum capacity just from the PS5 and Xbox let alone anything else. If you miss out on the first day it will probably be a 2021 delivery for most orders.

Think people thought that regards CPU's too, look how that's turned out. Looks like AMD are slowly turning the mind share in their favour.
 
so fiinally looking good. whats AMDs drivers like these days? last time i tried driver were garbage. great job from them this time round
 
Reviews were launch time for cpus.

Some places like GN then continued releasing pre-recorded reviews for less interesting skus through the day to keep people checking back.

I am in no rush for anything in truth but I am sure when I decide to do it, I want it all now, so might have to grab the GPU on pre-order and hope for the best :D

Yeah, best get that pre-order in.

My FE turned up today, but won't be able to install until later today as busy with family.
