"If their numbers hold up to the real world testing that will happen in a few weeks,"

You still posting rubbish ;)

They are just a bit precautious and shy for whatever weird reason - chiphell, together with AMD, also reports RX 6900 XT domination over RTX 3090.

https://www.chiphell.com/thread-2264233-1-1.html

They didn't know that RX 6900 is actually RX 6800 XT, and that RX 6800 XT will actually be the vanilla RX 6800.

Wasnt there a guy in this thread or another that said there would be shortages of AMD cards and everyone piled on him and said he was full of ****!?

Yep, they relentlessly mocked him and cast aspersions on the source due to English being a 2nd language.
However, he was quite specific in terms of reasons why and I'm not sure his reasons were sound!
Will see how much goodwill amd lose if and when they can't satisfy demand. Awaiting accusations of paper launch..

For me in Europe it's just a question of what do retailers actually charge. I have hope that within the first minute of launch I will be fast enough to snag one but I have no interest if they add 200-300 euros extra like they did for Ampere.

I think that there is net to no chance that AMD will satisfy all of the demand on the initial launch batch... but I would bet good money that they will have greater numbers than Nvidia did with the 3080 simply because they have had more time to produce them.

Where I live the initial batch seems to be roughly rrp prices, then the next ones go up in price.

Its still blocked on amd gpus at launch, not sure why. Same goes for consoles, no ray tracing at launch - I think the developers hasn't had time to test it yet so they disabled it on amg gpu

Yea, they said they’d enable it once they get their hands on the RDNA2 gpus.

@TNA i assume you're getting a Ryzen 5000? Don't you want to wait to see how much faster again AMD are with their CPU's once Smart Cache is enabled on RDNA2 GPU's, how many more kicks in the head while they are already dead Intel get? :D :p

I actually explained my plan to you a day or two ago in a post in the cpu section, seems you missed it as I asked asked you a question and never got a reply :p

I will go 5000 series at some point, not sure when, not any time soon as my 3600 @4.4GHz is plenty good for 4K60.

Will there be dual-fan versions and some exotic designs like we can see from the competitor's AIB partners?

Dunno about dual fans but theres already lots of AIB's sharing their custom flavours (Sapphire Nitro, Pulse; Powercolour Red Devil).
