I bought a 3070 fe to keep me going for a couple of years. I took my chances with it over the 3080 as I believe the next jump will be huge.
It was an impulse purchase. I don't see this situation going away next year either.
If you are still in queues for AIB cards you are wasting your time. You purchased(pre-ordered) a GPU when the prices were low.
Stock is purposely being allocated to retailers/etailers for new sales at higher prices rather than backfilling orders at lower prices they cannot meet (this is not OCUKs fault and I bet they are trying their best to get cards in).
Also AIBS are purposefully building GPUs for higher priced models rather than standard lower tiers. You are back of the list and everyone is jumping you.
