*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

even though people complain about it I still think it looks much better on than off, particularly during day time when the image feels washed out and dim in SDR while HDR has a proper lighting.

Possible because my Philips Momentum does a good job with SDR due to its quantum dot, etc. tech but HDR looks **** with this game vs SDR (other games, etc. look great with HDR). It definitely looks like SDR with a fudged gamma ramp rather than being processed with higher colour bit depth.

Good day, because my PC does not support cyberpunk and will hardly be able to update the hardware in the near future. Therefore, the question is a little off topic, but still. Is there any, albeit a remote analogue or maybe a game like it, somewhere before 2015, since my hardware was updated around the same period)

and I will find some goodies in my inventory, but cannot see anything new there???

I think it is just certain things you can optionally pickup on the different endings depending which one you do such as a certain character's pistol, etc.

EDIT: Some endings you get nothing as a reward.

Probably Deus Ex: Human Revolution though you don't have the open world experience.

Play it on Geforce Now.

Hotfix 1.12 Released

Hotfix 1.12 is now available on PC!

This update addresses the vulnerability that could be used as part of remote code execution (including save files):

- Fixed a buffer overrun issue.

- Removed/replaced non-ASLR DLLs.

Playing this myself at the mo and it's good so far. Runs really well. Has some issues due to its age mostly

Shockingly they've taken a week to fix what modders fixed in hours after discovery. I realise that CDPR will have to run any official fixes through some form of QA etc but to spend a week doing so whilst at the same time insinuating that it's the modders fault for causing this issue (which it isn't) is pretty low.

Btw a pretty good overall HDR grading of one of the trailers, if you'd be curious to see how a more 'perfect blacks' implementation might look like:

Just starting this up from the beginning again and wondered if there was any mods available for:

1. The 'c' button skips conversation - I've hit it accidently a few times - Is there a way to rebind this?
2. Double Tap Dash (Whatever they call it :p) - I can't see me ever using the double tap dash/dodge thing, and I'm constantly accidently using it :p Anyway to disable it?

I don't think there's anything for only those two things.

For example, this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/30

changes dash to a seperate key but also changes the main interaction key (from 'F' to the far more widely used 'E').

This mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/425

disables dialogue skipping entirely, which sort of fixes the crouch/skip problem but in a less than ideal way.

You can rebind keys by manually editing files, but never bothered looking up how to seperate crouch and skip. I just got used to it. It helped that I rarely used crouching, preferring a violent approach.

Something that is relevant, somewhat useful and therefore never mentioned in the game - even with the default "C does both" setting (why CDPR even think of doing that, let alone do it?) you can change your crouch status without skipping dialogue by holding the key for a second or so rather than just pressing it.

You said "remote", so I'll throw in the Shadowrun series. A very different type of game, but a cyberpunk setting. Very low hardware requirements, so that won't be an issue. Maybe worth you looking at some videos of people playing it to see what you think. I'm playing the first game in the series, Shadowrun Returns. I like it.

Oh, great. So on the official forums, the patch is a couple of MB at most.

GOG has decided my patch... is a 58GB download. On my 1.4MB/s line. Joy. :(

Patching this game is strange. Or maybe it's only through GOG. Either way, it's wildly inconsistent. I didn't even notice the patch downloading and I'm also on GOG. Definitely just MB. A previous patch that was 1.1GB for me started as 30GB for another poster and just kept getting bigger. My guess is that sometimes, for some reason, the patching fails and the entire game is redownloaded.

There are other people getting the same thing, e.g. https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkg...ches_via_gog_galaxy_completely_new_downloads/

Left my PC on overnight to download the 'patch'.

66% completed. I'm really starting to regret getting this on GOG, I wanted to be kinder towards CDPR but it may be the last time I bother if that's the quality they're offering from their delivery system.

Holy Crap! I misread that at first and thought it was 5.8GB which, whilst still ridiculously big is "understandable" if downloading an whole archive but at 58GB it must be D/L'ing the whole game again! I'm glad I got mine on Steam, just a 1.5MB D/L for me :D

Sometimes it says 58Gb (for example) but really all it's doing is scanning and verifying that amount of data and downloading anything new. Used to happen quite a bit with BFV with patches.
