I don't understand - a full restart once a week? Why not shut it down completely at the end of the day considering it takes only 15 seconds to start up again?

tbh, i found that following Twitter or website meant that by the time you got the alert and logged into a site, it was already hammered and too late. Now in the market for a new PS5 and had my first day of trying to source stock. Got to the end of the Game queue just as everything sold out, and got to the payment page on Smyths just as the disc version sold out.
I must say, its great fun waiting for the notification and then jumping on the website mashing refresh until it works. It feels like a daily raffle of sorts.
My current strategy is following PS5StockAlertUK on Twitter. Is there anything else I should be doing?
That’s the way my lad’s is, and the only time I’ve seen an issue was when the internet connection was interrupted last week - totally not the fault of the console (the issue was the game updates failed and I had to delete and restart them). Aside from that it’s been flawless. Thanks for the replies on the rest mode, I'll start using it that way. I've got an external HDD connected as well with all my PS4 bits and pieces on.
You’ll definitely not think Valhalla is too short!Completed spiderman in a couple days, really enjoyed it although it is short!
Need a new game, thinking of Valhalla!
There is a YT channel that plays a loud, obnoxious alarm when drops hit to wake you up

I have alerts and could have got one a few months back from John lewis but i refused to purchase it as honestly i dont see any good PS5 exclusive games on it yet. This is how I got mine. Someone at work mentioned the site. Had it on in the background whilst working two weeks ago it went off and managed to snag one from Shopto.
SO you had alerts setup for a console you refuse to purchase? Seems worth while.I have alerts and could have got one a few months back from John lewis but i refused to purchase it as honestly i dont see any good PS5 exclusive games on it yet.
I still have alerts setup for GPUs even though I got one recently Lol.SO you had alerts setup for a console you refuse to purchase? Seems worth while.

Noob question about the PS+ Collection.
I already several of the games on both disc and download. In terms of the ones that are PS5 enhanced (God of War etc) I presume it doesn't make a difference whether I play the version I own or the version from The Collection?

This is the very reason to use it. Not everyone has FTTP for downloading updates etc, so this is the best way to get themAlso rest mode lets you receive those huge downloads which are becoming more common ... along with charging pads & headsets
