Second hand price insanity!

Think im just going to stick to my 1070, I missed both the "Loyal Customer deals" On here last week, I see that lasted 5 minutes and now its being opened up to anyone and there dogs today due to people who have been here less than 5 minutes crying "what about me".

Being an essential worker its bloody impossible to sit here all day on the off chance a thread opens up and I can get a card in a basket before the bots or unloyal customers snap them all up and sell them on facebook and Discord channels.
I'm just prayin my 1070 doesnt die as I no longer have an IGPU and I have no idea what i'd do, as theres no way im paying these stupid prices and I just dont have the time to sit here hitting f5 every 3 seconds.

See you all in 2023 when hopefully this madness has died down and the gpus are left to us nerds once again.

Tempted to sell my 3070 fe to Cex for £777. Since getting an xbox series x and spending more time gaming in living room I fired up my pc last night. Lasted aboit half an hour on it before wishing I was back on the xbox.

Strange really cos Id have maybe thought the Rtx would make me consider the xbox as the worse option. The opposite is true.

I mean if you have it already, sell it or mine?

Just a friendly reminder that the abuse of credit card charge back is current on steep rise, so do be careful with selling things online or through auction site if you if the payment is through credit card etc.

Just spotted this thread and popped in to see what's changed over the last month or two since I binned it all off and got a Series X. Not a lot it seems. I whole heartedly recommend considering doing the same to anyone else getting frustrated with the GPU situation, I don't miss my PC at all and the Xbox works great on my desk with my monitor.

Can you go full keyboard/mouse now?

As a coincidence I've been reading about lot of disgruntled Xbox owners on reddit complaining about the price of games, the exclusivity of games, the lack of game releases, problems with certain games being fixed, not able to actually play games because its offline etc etc so its not all rosey on the other side.

Yes but I havent felt the need to yet, strange because thats what I was worried about the most but there are so many games on GamePass that I wouldnt have usually played that I'm really enjoying that I havent thought about using a keyboard and mouse with it yet
Same for me. Games like The Outer Worlds would normally have been keyboard and mouse only for me but I've recently found I just like sitting back with my feet up. Zero faffing about with settings for visual differences I barely notice.

I know this isnt a place for pushing pc vs console but if anyone is struggling to get a gpu to game then xbox is more viable than ever.

My pc was mainly playing gamepass games anyway.

The lack of new games is identical to pc. When has the pc last had a big game that didn't drop first on console anyway?

I think that's what puts me off the most (semi closed system), at least with PC the community can sometimes come up with fixes/workarounds why before the developer comes in.

I`m not starting a PC v Console debate just saying what I had read this weekend there are two sides to the opinion and it just surprised me a bit how many disgruntled Xbox users there were and the different issues they were stating. Some even saying they wish they had kept their PC and not sold it. So two sides to every coin.

Personally I will never buy a console because I've been there and got bored with it after a few weeks and sold it. Simply because I`m not just a PC Gamer.

I've put too much into PC over the years to go console :D - I might get one as an addition when you can start buying them the normal way.

The nearest I have got recently is a Switch (for the kids) but also because you can do other things with it not just game if you know what I mean. Tinkering shall we say. The kids mates all use Xbox or PS and they often say they wish they had a PC but then again thats because of Youtubers.

When you look at the current state of play with games being truly 'next gen' ie Ray tracing and pushing a mid-level 30 series card to the limit, there is almost nothing to get excited about. Maybe Cyberpunk and Death Stranding. This makes the absolute mad dash for 30 series cards quite inexplicable.

I gave up on the hunt a few weeks ago when I looked at the upcoming games list (what is there to get excited about AAA in 2021), and realized if I ever got a 30 series card I'd be doing the same thing I'm doing with my 1050ti - playing Skyrim and CSGO.
