I gave it a 1. Probably should have given it a 2 for the rest of the weekend being okay, and the interesting outcome.

But they will be able to race and overtake. There will be strategy rather than just track position. There will be opportunities that we've seen Hamilton take time and time again that simply don't exist at the joke track that is Monaco.

We've been in this position plenty of times before when Mercedes has a bad weekend and everyone starts claiming it's the start of their downfall. Then the other 18 races are all Mercedes podium places, mostly Hamilton wins, and no one remembers that one crappy race they had at Monaco.

You just can't count out the Hamilton/Mercedes combo until the end of the season, they have shown themselves to be tremendously consistent across the whole of a season. In the past, we've seen other drivers like Bottas or Vettel have a good race and are riding on cloud nine, until they get demolished in the next race and then their heads fall even lower than before.
 
Nice to see Lando and Sainz up there.

The only entertainment in the whole race was Hamilton crying on the radio, and tbf you can't blame him!

It almost feels like they need a race like this every now and then to fire them back up, more often than not when they have had a massive failure of a weekend they seem to double down and come back stronger.
 
Toto saying that if the Red Bull bendy rear wing is fitted in Baku it'll go to the stewards and maybe then the International Court of Appeal... :eek:

The teams probably let it go at Monaco as it's such a slow track it doesn't make a difference, but at Baku with that one long straight that everyone overtakes at, the RBR illegal bendy rear wing will be a massive advantage. I hope the teams put their money where their mouths are and protest it, and if RBR has any sense they will not run it and take the straight line speed hit on the straight.
