But they will be able to race and overtake. There will be strategy rather than just track position. There will be opportunities that we've seen Hamilton take time and time again that simply don't exist at the joke track that is Monaco.
We've been in this position plenty of times before when Mercedes has a bad weekend and everyone starts claiming it's the start of their downfall. Then the other 18 races are all Mercedes podium places, mostly Hamilton wins, and no one remembers that one crappy race they had at Monaco.
You just can't count out the Hamilton/Mercedes combo until the end of the season, they have shown themselves to be tremendously consistent across the whole of a season. In the past, we've seen other drivers like Bottas or Vettel have a good race and are riding on cloud nine, until they get demolished in the next race and then their heads fall even lower than before.
