Summer Transfer Window 2021/2022

Be interesting to see if Grealish can actually perform at City. Not convinced myself.

Even if he doesnt, he will still win trophies and medals. Hell even Djimi Traore and Man Utd Legend David May are champions league winners, Grealish probably looks at Kane and all the kerfuffle surrounding him and thinks I dont want to end up with a career without medals.

And to move to a club that by his own inferred words over several years, he dislikes, I guess though its a case of if you cant beat them , join them. He is guaranteed trophies there after all , regardless of what he might think of them.

If someone wanted to double my wages I would swallow my dislike for them pretty fast.

Buttner 1-0 Gerrard

he likely doesn't care as whether he is on the bench or in the starting 11, he still makes bank every week. All these plyaers that bleat on about wanting to win trophies is mostly hogwash, what they want to win is a massive weekly salary plus signing bonus so they have a nice end of career golden egg (unless they are alcholic, gambling, prostitute loving degenerates), can't blame them TBH

The amount of output Grealish has done in the past doesn't convince me he is a £100mil player. I don't blame him going for a paycheque or trophies, but as Man City, I can't see what he adds to the team that they don't already have. Marez IMO is a better player than Grealish, or Foden too. They are not short on attacking creative players, what they are missing is someone who is more out and out striker and he is not that. That will give the team more attacking options than another creative attacker.

Grealish would have been perfect for United, pulling defenders out of position and drawing fouls, exactly what we need. Instead we've spent two seasons buying Greenwood 2.0

I wouldn't be surprised if City bought him just to stop United going after him.

I genuinely think the lack of play time he'll see at City will do him no favors, regardless of what he's paid. He's got a big ego and he loves the game, you can see that in the way he plays. I'd have felt a lot better if he was going to United instead of City, or indeed any of the bigger clubs at the moment.

Hope I'm wrong though. Would love to see him play as often as I have done at Villa if only for the entertainment value.

I agree, i don't get the impression he'd care about not being the "main man" from his personality, but i do wonder how he'll cope being heavily rotated.

he'll cope fine if his bank account is going kerching kerching regularly every week with a ridiuclous ammount of money regardless of where he is in the squad pecking order

Ings to Villa?!?! Didn't see that one coming. I hope Southampton took them to the cleaners because we've supposedly got a sell-on clause.

Considering how much money Villa have spent, I don't understand why there was reports of them offering Grealish a new bumper contract to stave off Man City, was it just nonsense and they were signed because of the money they were going to receive for Grealish, or were they signings to try to get Grealish to stay?

Dean Smith practicing what he learnt at Brentford - replace before you sell. If they get JWP it'll be a very good window for them.

Supposedly £30m, which is absolutely mental money for a player with a year left on his contract.

Can't say I saw Villa coming though, I was expecting him to be off to Spurs to replace Kane when he goes to City.

Hopefully they'll not be having JWP as well but if they're throwing that sort of cash around, I suspect Southampton won't be able to sell him quick enough.

You and Spurs can now fight it out for Origi and if Villa do come in for Ward Prowse as well, Shaqiri is available - he loves a set-piece.

They were putting on a show to make it seem like they were desperate for him to stay. Villa weren't spending this sort of money without a huge sale.
