Alpine getting their excuse in early... :D

"But Raikkonen did it... "

Alonso told to give the place back. Sadly, Alonso's response wasn't broadcast.

I'm pretty sure now Max is going to win the championship. Far too many races where the redbulls are clearly just faster cars, and Mercedes don't seem to even be getting strategy right any more...

Im not sure what they could’ve done here to be honest other than the standard pit the next lap and stay close. I think they wanted to stretch it but Perez was too close for that for them to keep second so it kind of just ends up a half and half strategy. Not following them but not going long either.

Maybe it would’ve been better off for Mercedes to have stayed second at the start and put the undercut on RB? Then again Mercedes tend to be go long merchants anyway. :D

Do they both have second set of hard tyres?

Im guessing they both would want to finish on mediums though.

I can't actually remember what new or lightly used tyres either of them have.

VSC deployed

Perez's drink system has failed. Currently 39°C track temperature and 29°C air temperature and 28 laps to go. Going to be unpleasent.
