Spec me a board game for Christmas

Seeing if there’s a board game that meets these criteria:
. Suitable for three players - as some games are only suitable for 4+ players.
. Easy to understand
. Doesn’t drag on forever

My parents and I play board games over Christmas. We have Monopoly, Cluedo and Sorry! Plus cards. Monopoly we just play until a certain time or if one of us is bankrupt.

Whitehall is the greatest game. A bit of a cat and mouse style game as you try and hunt down Jack the Ripper. A bit hard to find somewhere with it in stock but a bloomin' good game. It's very good for just 3 players.

Gloom

Ticket to Ride is good and easy to pick up, and as above, Pandemic is worth a shout too. Exploding Kittens is a good laugh and quite tactical, my highlight was making my sister throw her cards down and rage quit one Christmas.

It's a long enough game, but not like monopoly which can go on for hours.
