Still liking Kate and Clint pairing up even if it's getting a little silly at times (a holiday jumper :D and Clint allowing Kate to B&E whilst he watched) but, as expected, nowt mentioned about the "you know what" in the "you know where" which would be massive international news, yet not even an "Oh, you're an avenger and something huge happened on the bridge, is that what you're here for" from Kate's mum etc, absolutely nothing like is never happened, again it's like two different teams are writing the script, one is for the quiet times (and are good writers) and the other is for stunts and they're just terrible ones.

why do I get the feeling Clint Barton is going to die and pass the Hawkeye mantle to Kate Bishop?
 
This is really good, nice balance of humour and some quite poignant moments. Kate is excellent and I'm enjoying Clint showing the actual effects of an Avengers lifestyle on a human.

I think it's a shame it's only 6 episodes I feel like I'm going to end up wanting more.
 
Probably my favourite Disney+ show below Loki and just above What If? Hailee Steinfeld is great and CB1 is already more interesting in these 4 episodes than all the movies put together :p not really bothered about the Pym arrow on the bridge, although this week's episode did have the LARP-ers retrieve the used arrows to please some people ;)

I'm sure it will be revealed at the end of the next episode (5) but just wondering on any theories on who owns the watch fr the Avengers compund? Like all the shows, I'm expecting it to belong to someone from the Movies who will maybe cameo or link the show to a future movie.

For a moment I thought it might be his wife. Seemed weird she spoke multiple languages and seems to be his "guy in the chair" all of a sudden. But that would be a rubbish outcome!

Who knows? Perhaps Laura was also enrolled at the Red Room and managed to escape. And that's how she knows Natasha, how she met Clint and why Fury set them up in the farm safe-house. It's the speaking German that's bugging me, there's probably nothing to it and was probably just used because both actors can speak it.

Hey...... :D

I think it helps back-up my "there's 2 writing teams - one for story and one for stunts" theory though as going back for the arrows made logical sense and was good writing I thought as it seem a realistic issue Hawkeye would have, yet that same "logic" was ditched for the later rooftop stunt scenes just to make the "who fights who" less confusing (rather than writing it better).

So the non-logic of Clint allowing an untrained Kate to B&E into an unknown possibly hostile location just so that the story writers could have Clint and Yelena fight on the rooftop.

It probably should have been Clint going into the Flat, getting attacked there by Yelena with Kate watching from the rooftop. Kate then would run across the road to help and gets caught by Echo as she enters the Flat. The events on the rooftop (echo shot, Kate knocked off/out the building) can still occur but from inside the flat instead.

However it's harder to film in a small set and makes it harder to see what's happening vs being on an open rooftop etc so I can understand why the stunt storywriters decided to use Clint on a rooftop, even if its far less realistic for him to be there.
 
There may be some element of it's easier to film on the rooftop but I'd disagree with you on ditching logic or less realistic to the point I'd argue the opposite. Having Clint go in the flat is the logical thing to do but everything we've seen from the beginning (eavesdropping on her parents, sneaking in to the auction, putting on the Ronan suit) is Kate is impulsive with little or no thought to the consequences. So her just going off while Clint was explaining the plan, that he would go in to the flat basically for the reason you've listed, is exactly her character and consistent writing.

Yeap I 100% agree that is exactly what Kate would have done (no argument there), the point was that Clint agreeing to it via the conversation she had as she entered the building is absolutely not logical to how Clint is, especially after his chat with the mother and his own wife about protecting Kate.

Again it doesn't detract from the series, which I'm OK-ish with so far, it's just that little buzzing fly of annoyance when there's such an obvious difference in the writing quality/standards.

Great episode this week, it's showed some solid writing and explored their emotions more.
 
Really felt too convenient on the rooftop. If she wanted Clint dead there'd be dozens of ways she could do it without having to fight him hand to hand.

Clint didn't allow her to do that, he wanted her to keep watch while he went in. She ignored him and went off herself. Did you actually watch it?

So Clint didn't stop the untrained Kate as she was about to enter the building and instead, as she crossed the road he said "I told you you were supposed to be lookout" and she replied "Yeah but of the two of us who do you trust not to get distracted?" to which he said "Look it's not fair, your ability to act like a grown up helps you get your own way" and then he does nothing to stop her in any way, as instead the super-spy/assassin/avenger just watches the untrained Kate B&E into a potentially hostile place with who knows what threats.

Again I understand that the people who wrote this section of the story "needed" Clint to be outside for the rooftop fight with Yelena but the "way" they did that was poor, to me at least, versus the much better writing earlier in the episode (arrows, dancing, Natasha etc).
 
How was he going to stop her, shoot her :confused:

You just seem like you're picking unnecessary holes in this, and I'm pretty sure it's not the first thing you've done this to.
