Love him or hate him, and I lean toward admiring him, you cannot deny that Chris Wilson puts forward an honest, concise, and intelligent response to those that try in vain to bait him.
The whole subject of those underage little angels of the North and their minicab driver punters is one that that would make me feel tainted by association should I post about their alleged activities, so I’ll leave it to others.
I think it's important to note, as Chris said himself, that the one doesn't justify the other.
But yes, we have "children" in this country committing acts of murder and everything else under the sun. To some extent they have to have
some measure of responsibility for their own actions, beyond say age 5 (or at the very least 10/11, etc). Teenagers committing crimes (such as the aforementioned teenage murderers) can't be viewed as entirely innocent and devoid of any control over their own actions.
Which also isn't to say that no child can ever be trapped in an inescapable situation. It's just not black and white so as to be able to make blanket generalisations.
It's also important to remember that, no so long ago, we were sending children to work, allowing them to marry, etc. We might be more enlightened these days, but we might also be giving children too much of a free ride, and denying them the agency that they are entitled, certainly when they reach their teenage years.
And also, of course, the groomers are at fault. Nobody has said any different, including Chris.
