Annus Horibilis incoming. He's got to be cacking himself after that verdict.

Notable that Andy was nowhere near her Maj's Christmas message. All her other kids got some footage.

Nah, the case is probably going to fail as she is implicated.

The problem is that his association with Epstein was bad enough, but two or three convicted affluent, well-connected predators? There's no escaping that. I would hope that Charles wouldn't be as lenient as their mother once he's King as the long-term image of the institution is at risk with everything else going on.

Doesn't really matter what happens with the case. The NewsNight interview was a massive blunder, the headlines aren't going away. He's toxic to the Royal Family.

The tricks his team are trying to pull in the last couple weeks show that they likely knew what was coming down the pipe from the Maxwell trial, which is why they're so desperate to stop it getting to court.

Must be horrible having something so dry and crusty in your mouth that smells and tastes so foul.

Yup, I'm never going to Pizza Express again.
********, they're the best chain pizza in the country, the worst part of this entire story.is the reputational damage done to pizza express.

**** jokes.aside.

A bit O/T I know, but I was sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee while the TV news was droning on in the living room about poor old Ghislaine when I heard my father-in-law, staying with us for the holidays, say to my wife, “Well I’ll be ******, did you know she’s Robert Maxwell’s daughter?”
I closed my eyes and put my head in my hands.

You blame the children Wtf!

Were the children asking for it?

Your sick.

Without doubt some percentage would have been going back to these men of their own free will, the price they placed on their sexuality some marijuana, alcohol or small amounts of cash and gifts. Others will have been coerced and threatened. Sadly, in the real big bad world, not all legally underage children are little angels and many are sexually active, flirtatious and doing honest prostitutes out of a job. Facing the reality of this is not sick, it's pragmatism. In either case the men were abhorrent, and should face persecution and and in depth assessment of their businesses, immigration status and family connections. Those in council care should have their carers fully investigated and prosecuted if found in dereliction of their duty.

Love him or hate him, and I lean toward admiring him, you cannot deny that Chris Wilson puts forward an honest, concise, and intelligent response to those that try in vain to bait him.
The whole subject of those underage little angels of the North and their minicab driver punters is one that that would make me feel tainted by association should I post about their alleged activities, so I’ll leave it to others.

I think it's important to note, as Chris said himself, that the one doesn't justify the other.

But yes, we have "children" in this country committing acts of murder and everything else under the sun. To some extent they have to have some measure of responsibility for their own actions, beyond say age 5 (or at the very least 10/11, etc). Teenagers committing crimes (such as the aforementioned teenage murderers) can't be viewed as entirely innocent and devoid of any control over their own actions.

Which also isn't to say that no child can ever be trapped in an inescapable situation. It's just not black and white so as to be able to make blanket generalisations.

It's also important to remember that, no so long ago, we were sending children to work, allowing them to marry, etc. We might be more enlightened these days, but we might also be giving children too much of a free ride, and denying them the agency that they are entitled, certainly when they reach their teenage years.

And also, of course, the groomers are at fault. Nobody has said any different, including Chris.

yea probably about half a percent.

the others were going back because of threats of physical violence, black mail and fear.

looking at the ages of the guys involved and the state of most of them.... I'm guessing these girls were totally out of it and wasted as they were abused, probably barely remembering any of it.

it's not like they were just hanging out with slightly older guys and getting stoned in return for favours.

anyone involved should have been lynched and faced mob justice, no arrests made just names and faces printed on the sides of buses

The problem with that approach is you end up with paediatricians being burned out out their houses because people are morons...

I guess that you mean incidents like this in 2000;
Vigilantes in south Wales drove a hospital pediatrician out of her home after apparently confusing her job title with the word pedophile.

Police said the word "paedo" (using the British spelling of the prefix) was painted on the house of Dr. Yvette Cloete, a specialist in pediatric medicine.

She is now staying with friends and plans to move to a new home as a result of the incident, officials said.

parental responsibility seems under represented in the media blame discussions - children are minors, after all, so when do you prosecute parents,
equally, now, potential for social media liability -tik-tok seems to be accoladed as a big grooming concern.

(parental responsibility extends to informing themselves on minimising childrens allergy risks, autism risk, where, you frequently have indignant parental inteviews showing no cognisance)

He's not going to go back to the US so there will be no risk of him getting locked up by them. Similar to the way that wife who killed that lad on the motorbike is never coming back here to face a proper trial.
