Nigel Farage puzzles me sometimes he slags off the EU and France but never has a bad word to say about Russia maybe that Russia today money makes you a loyal puppet for the Kremlin.

The ads Farage pops up in are telling. I find it tragic people have ever believed anything he has to say - he is all about using people for his own ends.

Though I will admit I do find his perspective and perception interesting sometimes - he sees some stuff in ways a lot of people don't which can be useful to develop your own take off of.

But he'll jump on a plane to Serbia at a whim to 'fight' for Novak Djokovik's rights to bypass travel rules. Go figure

Pretty much this. I've said all along that this is nothing more than a play out of the old soviet KGB 'how to destabilise a country by doing absolutely nothing' handbook. If Russian armour does start rolling into Ukraine, then colour me very surprised.

+1 I’m starting to feel that’s what this is about and, despite the media continually claiming the opposite, there’s actually very little chance of actual wide scale conflict or invasion.

seems like a combination of brinksmanship on the part of the Russians and the USA pushing the media narrative that Putin is threatening invasion to try and unite others against the old Cold War foe.

Certainly the last thing anyone in Europe wants is to be used as a proxy battleground for Russia and the USA. We’ve seen how that can play out in the Middle East…..

Picked up someone and took them to a hospital it seems

Appears to most likely have been a medical emergency - interesting that the inference there is probably that they didn't want them in Ukraine in hospital, possibly required specific medical care.

Interesting that there is around 10 or so heavy US transport planes up generally revolving around Ukraine - not sure if they are all heading there but seem to be heading into or out of the region.

If things were kicking off around 1am our time though they are leaving it a bit late.

I've just been passed that exact same info from someone actually in the Belarusian military who has been first hand helping with the build up there every night the for last week or so. Not sure if he heard that from military sources or elsewhere though!

Well, he's either heard it elsewhere or he's spectacularly stupid/naive... I mean in the latter case it's no wonder that western intelligence agencies have seemingly been able to publicly declare what Putin's moves would likely be etc..

Given all that has been going on though I do find it suspect that Russia will want to walk away from this without getting something significant out of it, which so far they don't seem to be. The lengths which have been gone to are high and quite expensive for Russia including sending lots of ships the long way around to the Black Sea.

He's kind of backed himself into a corner on this though, the situation is one he's created and he's ended up almost snookering himself - he can back down now without having gained much at all or he's got an invasion that is quite likely going to be much more costly than he anticipated and could seriously put a dent in his popularity and the stability of his leadership at home.

Probably completely unrelated to Ukraine but interesting goings on over Iraq with what looks like a comms relay up, tanker and Super Galaxy and probably other stuff not showing - I'm wondering if the Super Galaxy is heading towards the Ukraine region.

Lol those naive idiots in Labour youth were complaining that Starmer was siding with NATO aggression over Ukraine. Don't expect to Stop The War marches when Russians are matching towards Kiev as that wouldn't be anti western enough.

Probably would expect a lot of NATO support through comms and intelligence so Ukraine know where to shoot.

So if something were about to go down, how would *that* look different than what we have now?

I keep asking this question and have yet to get an answer from any any of the "pay no attention to massive build up on the border" types.
