Blackhawk with call sign EVAC01 heading towards Ukraine border from Poland :s

Guessing it will be positioned in case they need to pull US personnel out of Lviv quickly.

Looks like it normally flies as DUKE51.

I've just been passed that exact same info from someone actually in the Belarusian military who has been first hand helping with the build up there every night the for last week or so. Not sure if he heard that from military sources or elsewhere though!

Ive always seen them around that area at night, the C-17 land somewhere around there dropping off the goods.
 
If it does kick off, as horrible as it will be. It will be an absolute goldmine for western intelligence. We'll be watching on with great interest to see modern Russian TTP's in action against near peer adversary. Just a shame it might come at the potential large expense of life if it does indeed happen.

If it does kick off I can't see how it won't be massive, bloody, indiscriminate heavy artillery and airstrikes - they don't seem to have the forces to take any other approach.

EDIT: I still find it confusing how seriously the US is taking this unless it does kick off - unless Afghanistan has got them running scared of being caught with their pants down so hugely over-reacting. One of the problems I find with the US armed forces is they have massive intelligence gathering apparatus but not the same level of ability to interpret it and seem to shun those with local knowledge a lot of the time for some reason.
 
Reading between the lines, it sounds like Russia are just posturing to me. Although US intelligence certainly think something is going to happen...

Pretty much this. I've said all along that this is nothing more than a play out of the old soviet KGB 'how to destabilise a country by doing absolutely nothing' handbook. If Russian armour does start rolling into Ukraine, then colour me very surprised.

I suspect the US and the other countries would state that would be considered an act of war, it would also cause the Russia to be cut off from swift with immediate effect.
 
No, but things would get DDOSd, hacked and disrupted by those hacker groups that are lone actors and most definitely not in the pay of the Russian state because Putin says they're not.

Thats a leap of faith, the last part. Putin has shown by his actions that he is not to be trusted by what he says.
 
Nigel Farage puzzles me sometimes he slags off the EU and France but never has a bad word to say about Russia maybe that Russia today money makes you a loyal puppet for the Kremlin.
