I think it's going to take some brave actions like that to put a stop to this invincibility that Putin feels he has globally. We need to allow countries to be fast tracked in asap and be ready for War otherwise what is to stop Putin continuing his real life game of Risk and just consuming any country he choses.

This is why there was talk of an EU only NATO equivalent without the reliance on the USA who may have different political positions to a united Europe.

Hey - what can I say? I'm always intrigued by people who don't seem to mind being shown up as shameless and brazen (not to mention absolutely terrible at any kind of assessment of facts)

He threatened Sweden because of a Twitter post thanking us(I said us awww how cute) for supply military aid and personnel.....

In the Swedish parliament people were begging for a confirmation on this lol.

It's only know to have been antitank weapons and minesweeping technology/systems.

So a big misunderstanding?

Sweden would fall faster than Ukraine.

I believe they said "The Russian Foreign Ministry promised retaliatory steps if Sweden and Finland are admitted to NATO" rather than mentioning "military consequences" as some have alluded to.
It didn't really hit the wire, so I can't confirm 100% what was said.

I thought the anti eu mob in here were completely against a joint eu army? Anyway, what makes you say that? He's been pretty clear an attack on a Nato nation will provoke a response.

Thankfully he's there instead of the alternative who I can only imagine would be making minimal efforts to sanction and would probably do nothing if a nato ally were attacked. He insinuated as much and even threatened to pull out of it altogether afterall.
