There is a certain irony to Putin's campaign to bring back the USSR, beginning with the destruction of a lasting symbol of the USSR's legacySuch a shame to hear the news about the Antonov-225. Was always a pleasure to see “Mriya” in the UK.

Maybe Elon Musk has something top secret that will help , kinda like this guy.
Don't think it would stop them tbhWouldn't there be defence systems across Europe that would be used, wherever the ICBM was heading
Do we think Putin would dare to use battlefield nuclear weapons?
gonna dig a hole in the garden. how deep does it have to be to avoid nukage?

So you're saying that if Russia nuked the UK and caused massive damage that our Trident subs wouldn't nuke Russia back in response? Because I am 100% confident they would. The nuclear deterrent doesn't work on the hope of something remaining or other nations. The statement is fundamentally wrong.

Not a simple question, but to answer:
- If they launched nuclear missiles at NATO targets in the US it would be picked up and a counterattack almost certainly launched.
- If they launched nuclear missiles at NATO targets in Europe it would be picked up but would hit before a counterattack could be launched, in which case a response would be launched by the non-European NATO members and whatever is left of European NATO members.
- If they launched nuclear missiles at Ukraine it would be picked up and a counterattack almost certainly not launched.
- If they used nuclear bombs or artillery shells launched missiles against Ukraine it would not be picked up (until detonation obviously) and a counterattack almost certainly not launched.
Artillery based nukes? Only ever seen them in old old test footage, before the fallout was really understood.
I don’t buy that at all TBH, he still doesn’t have air superiority, on paper he has a clear advantage in the air yet his equipment is proving to be very outdatedI dont think that is the case, i think the world coming together and everyone doing what they can with sanctions and no fly zones for Russia are having a massive effect and I dont think Putin expected this much.
Also the Ukrainians have done an amazing job in resisting so far and made this a real fight rather than a walk in the park for Russia....but Putin simply hasn't brought in the heavy gear. I dont think he wanted to use it and i'm still hoping he wont.

It looks as if, within days, the "major concerns" emanating from so many sources about the alledged parties in Downing Street and the fear of the Chinese virus having been only politically put to bed have vaporised, so every cloud has a silver lining.
However it's now a pity the concerns have mutated to whether we will we be vaporised in our beds tonight...Perhaps my reluctance to start the lawn mowing saga as early February will be irrelevant, and Greta's concerns about global warming brought to a whole new, but very short climax!
