Strange as i read a few days ago that it was meant to of been impossible to restore the power due to the amount of damage that been done.

Do you understand the concept of 1 billion dead in a nuclear war? You would see the devastation from space and it would take a century to rebuild
 
The missile attack on the base in Ukraine was very risky, judging by the language coming from the Americans I wonder if that would have been the catalyst for article 5 if one of those missiles had gone slightly astray.

Volnovakha in south-eastern Ukraine has been bombarded for days. Buildings have been reduced to rubble and most of the population has fled. Those left take shelter, burying the dead close to their homes.

Its quite disturbing how little regard Russian forces have for non-combatants. At least we know now that if we were to get in a proper conflict with Russia that the Geneva convention is fully out of the window, it would be grim.

Russian force are deliberately targeting journalists, blue PRESS jackets, helmets and all they don't care. If anyone hasn't seen that footage from Sky news where a bunch of them were ambushed by russian forces and despite yelling "PRESS! JOURNALISTS" they didn't stop shooting to kill. And it wasn't like they were caught in crossfire it was a deliberate ambush and a targeted attempt to kill them all one person got a bullet through the lower back another took two bullets to his military grade bullet proof jacket which probably saved his life. Its compelling viewing its just sheer luck they all survived.

Seems like to sponsor a refugee you have to know their name to nominate them. How is that going to work....:confused: it's like they are just virtue signalling/making it deliberately difficult to appease the unpleasant righties.

Personally I'd say it's much simpler than that and they're just wannabe fascists looking up to actual fascists, ymmv.

Think you have to go through a charity.

Hopefully they'll do some checks to make sure the house is suitable and they aren't just looking to exploit vulnerable people. I'm sure 99% will be genuine though and just want to help.
