So I decided to put some fairy liquid in the dishwasher.....

So as I've ran out of dishwasher tablets I thought I'd put a touch of fairy liquid in the dishwasher.

I've learnt the hard way that you're NOT supposed to do this.

Am I the only one that's done this on this forum?!

Enough to fill the tray where you'd put a tablet in.

I'm not sure how I'm meant to remove the bubbles now. Am I best to just leave it for a few days?

I'm just glad I was in and awake.

I often either put it on at night, or in the morning before I leave for work.

It would have been a sight to behold to let the dishwasher to a full cycle with fairy liquid.

Did you catch yours early? Can it damage anything as I'm renting.

Didn't do any damage, I quite liked the clean it gave, also the dishwasher seemed to clean better for a bit afterwards.
Probably a good idea to run a couple of rinse cycles.

You can use washing up liquid but you need to fill the tablet holder with bicarbonate of soda and add just two small drops of the liquid. Done it plenty of times when out of tablets.
