UEFA Champions League Final Liverpool v Real Madrid ** spoilers ** [Saturday 28th May 2022]

I've got a feeling that "deflection" rule is broke. I couldn't see a Madrid touch on the ball, and as such it's just a **** up by the defence and should stand.

You have to have two players behind the opposition not one, two.

Yes there was...there has to be two players.
Sorry but what? There was another Liverpool player way ahead of bemzema?

Your telling me that it has to be two players ahead of the furthers attacker for it to not be offside?

Other than that mad moment at the end we've played well and just been missing a goal. Only slight negative has been Diaz, who has been running down blind alleys all half.
Yeah that confuses me, I’ve seen loads of goals given because it’s deflected off a defender first.
No you haven't. It has to been a deliberate action, not a deflection.

Agree. Rule should be changed to whoever it comes off last tbh. We messed up and Real benefited from our mistake. Crap rule.

If a Real player didn't make the pass how can it be offside. Is there actually a rule that says that?
There's some balls stuff about deflections, but I see the intent behind that is if the ball is played by the attacking side and not a defending side like in this case. Rule is wrong.
