we all know the offside rule but a liverpool player was clearing the ball which then got deflected by another liverpool player to benzema its stupid rule

No you haven't. It has to been a deliberate action, not a deflection.

Agree. Rule should be changed to whoever it comes off last tbh. We messed up and Real benefited from our mistake. Crap rule.

There's some balls stuff about deflections, but I see the intent behind that is if the ball is played by the attacking side and not a defending side like in this case. Rule is wrong.

Yes, that's how the offside rule works generally.

What do you mean? Madrid player makes a pass...its deflected and the fella who scores was two yards offside.

He was behind the keeper, and only a sole defender behind. In nearly all circumstances it's a defender plus a keeper. Therefore he's offside.
