They want a cheap pro but don't want you to buy it. Most people should get the Air or the 14" Pro.

Pretty much, the way its being treated I can see it getting phased out eventually

iOS 16 has nice lock screen updates, but that's about it. iPadOS 16 looks like a fantastic update though, further blurring the line between iPad and MacBooks.

Cheers but that doesn't really explain how it works with MFA other than Passkeys is a key pair solution (nothing new there).
Main issue I have is if Apple is suggesting we should move back to a single point of authentication, as that seems a bit silly in terms of security
