Cheers bud. Weath for iPad, finally
Yeah, will it work on windows? Assume not without butchery? The iphone as webcam thing...can't believe no one has tried it before but i guess without the integration like Apple it makes it difficult.
There were always a few apps, like ivcam, that allowed you to use your iOS devices as a webcam; was a handy feature when everyone was WFH and needed to do videocalls.Yeah, will it work on windows? Assume not without butchery?
Actually, this webcam thing with the phone makes NOT getting a Studio Display an even better proposition. One less reason to not get that monitor.
If you have a decent camera like a Sony A7 or similar there has long been software to allow you to use that as a webcam. Newer ones even have it built in. Far superior to using a mobile phone as a webcam.
OMG! This is a massive winning feature for me! I've been waiting for VMWare Fusion to come out officially with Apple Silicon support but now it looks like I don't need it at all.Native VM support within macOS, very cool.

Looks like the API is open too so you can stand up pre-configured environments pretty quickly.OMG! This is a massive winning feature for me! I've been waiting for VMWare Fusion to come out officially with Apple Silicon support but now it looks like I don't need it at all.
Very cool. I'm going to have to read more into this.Looks like the API is open too so you can stand up pre-configured environments pretty quickly.
Seems Apple are going in a good direction lately with lots of open APIs and documentation, quite enjoying the direction.Looks like the API is open too so you can stand up pre-configured environments pretty quickly.
The more screenshots I see of the new lock screen, the more obvious it seems that the next iPhones (14 hopefully, but maybe 15) will have some variety of always-on display. The fact the "widgets" are very light/minimal and monotone (basically Watch Complications but on the lock screen) mean the wallpaper/background could be turned off, and then just the date, time, and lock screen widgets left dimly lit at a super-low refresh rate.
I'm also hopeful them being like complications mean devs can quickly convert their watch versions ready for iOS 16 lock screens.
