US intelligence reckons Russia has suffered a 50% causality rate on from the forces it started with

More than 75,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or injured in the war in Ukraine, according to new classified US intelligence, a loss equivalent to almost the entire British Army.

If accurate, the figure would equate to half the 150,000 Russian troops reported to have been committed to the Ukrainian invasion, a staggering figure that points to an “exceptionally deadly war”, according to analysts.

“We were briefed that over 75,000 Russians have either been killed or wounded, which is huge, you've got incredible amounts of investment in their land forces, over 80 per cent of their land forces are bogged down, and they're tired,” Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, a Democrat who serves on the House Armed Services Committee and recently visited Ukraine, told CNN. “But they’re still the Russian military.”

We leased Hong Kong from China as a settlement after a war, our lease ran out and we had to hand it back (or risk another war) we didn't just hand a chunk of sovereign territory over for no reason.
Literally correct but not technically correct, we leased HK from Taiwan China and when our lease ran out we couldn't give it back to Taiwan as that would have just resulted in New China invading HK (hence Taiwan didn't even push for this option), we weren't under any legal obligation to give it to China we did it purely to gain political influence/leverage with them (worked out great).

The country (not so much the people) survived under decades of communist rule, I'm sure it'll manage just fine in its return to communist rule
Those decades did however culminate in the 90s with the overthrowing of communist rule, it's unlikely many Russians (especially those under 40) would want to go back to the dark ages.

I think everyone needs to chill and just enjoy summer.

I suspect any 300km himars rockets will be closely monitored and Ukraine will be told not to fire them into Russia, at a guess.
There is a certain amusing irony, to the country that convinced Ukraine to scrap it's missiles and missile construction facilities a decade ago (in return for the guarantee or assistance if Russia invaded) turning around and saying they will only provide short range missiles and not to fire them into Russia :D

Also that bridge you guys posted about a week or so ago is still in use, that ^^ video shows vehicles crossing it without any issue.
The Antonovsky bridge is very not operational, Russia have set up a ferry & pontoon bridge beside it to keep supplies flowing to Kherson

The railway bridge North of the Antonovsky bridge is also out of action with a pontoon set up beside it

Can't see them protesting about what thier leader and armed forces are doing eh.

Obviously don't care about murder, rape and stealing in thier name, of course.

Protesting is a real good way to get sent off to Siberia as we saw at the outbreak of the war. Others have left the country.

Shame they can't let the Ukrainian people enjoy summer instead of raping/murdering, deporting and stealing from them.

Weather forecast Kyiv: Mostly sunny with a chance of cruise missiles.

I think everyone needs to chill and just enjoy summer

Given what is going on in Ukraine, which you occasionally pretend to care about, that is incredibly callous and tasteless. Finding it amusing to post claptrap like that while people suffer is sick.

Because a few thousand only protested.

Yet during the war in Iraq in London over a million took to the streets or Italy with 3 million to protest.

See the difference?

Yes we didn't end up in jail for protesting.
Had we also got arrested then I'm sure the turnout would have been somewhat different.

No that over a million in London, 3 in Italy and countless more in other countries showed that the general population was against it, unlike Russia and a few thousand protesters.

You can arrest a few thousand who have some morals, good luck arresting millions.
Shows that the Russian public was supportive or didn't care .
