Well, yes but the NHS employs 1.2 million full time equivalent staff, plus a load more indirectly. I’m sure if you found large population of other low paid workers, a number of those will have made it on only fans or social media.

An electric blanket will pull a few hundred watts at the most when heating up and next to nothing when maintaining the temperature.

You only use them for tens of minutes before getting into a nice warm bed, after that your own body heat takes over.

Yep, they are a real treat when you live in a cold house. When you are already cold and then get into a cold bed it can take a while to feel warm, electric blanket just takes the edge off while you adjust. I wouldn't leave it on overnight though as they get a bit hot for me and they can be a fire risk.

Your a couple of decades of out the loop.

We absolutely love ours and just brought a new dual zone one due to getting a bigger bed. We put it on just before we get into bed and leave it on until we go to sleep. They don’t consume much power and I’m fairly confident our energy bill will be a fair bit cheaper than the majority on here over the next 12 months.

They need a lot less energy because you're only heating a small (quite well insulated) bed rather than a large (relatively poorly insulated) room.

On the subject of which - I wonder if we'll start to see a return of 4 poster beds? Weren't they originally designed so you could have large rugs draped around them to essentially create an area of warmth?

Control, power etc. Problem as above, courts are a nightmare at min and it isn't just pay and good to go. You have to apply to do mediation and/or possibly a course and then if that fails you next pay the court etc. It is looking this process at min to take 12-18 months with delays in it all.

Yeah that route will cost mega £ for legal counsel too and her absolutely nothing because she's got every benefit under the sun.
