Pretty unhelpful that map. I looked last year and had the 21-26 timeframe. OR installed fibre earlier this year and the map still says 21-26https://www.openreach.com/fibre-broadband/where-when-building-ultrafast-full-fibre-broadband will tell you if it's in scope and when for. Yeah as I mentioned previously, there's so much movement in terms of rollout dates that you cannot rely on a resource that's made public.Pretty unhelpful that map. I looked last year and had the 21-26 timeframe. OR installed fibre earlier this year and the map still says 21-26![]()
Unless it was a dream/forever home, I'd stay put. Appreciate that might not be possible.
I think 2017 was right on the cusp of when FTTP went into new homes (not sure by default, maybe the estate had to have over X amount of houses or something).2017 build feels like it should have something, even if it's a dodgy OFNL lockout. Do you get anything from checking https://www.fibrenest.com/network and https://www.ofnl.co.uk/residents-businesses/postcode-checker
Yes it is.The BT website says I can get 900Mb download speed. Is that the full FTTP service?
Ok, but would there be any advantage in switching to it from 1GB Virgin? The speeds suggest I wouldn’t notice any differenceYes it is.
A few reasons off the top of my head:Ok, but would there be any advantage in switching to it from 1GB Virgin? The speeds suggest I wouldn’t notice any difference
