To be fair though, I can't honestly see fundamentals not deteriorating further.

Glad I cancelled my two trips to the US this year! Was going to be expensive as it is.......let alone at 1:1!!
Yeah he must be. I have no idea how a majority of the tories voted truss over him.
not really , because as those prices go down those rich toffs that just got a massive tax break will hoover them all up as cash buyers. The average worker will still not be in a position to afford them because the mortgage companies will simply not extend them credit as their salaries will not be high enough to satisfy the banks that they can actually afford it, and they will end up paying over inflated rents as they get gouged to hell and back

As I said a while back, I can't wait for London, Birmingham and Manchester being the go to place for eastern european stags and hens to have a massive lash up because they can't believe how cheap it is.

I know we joke when we say the government is corrupt, but seriously.....do we think it could actually be corrupt?

I think when you have a load of people making an absolute shedload of cash, people directly linked to the chancellor, after a currency is tanked then i think questions will and should be asked.
If a policy was announced in for eg Nigeria that meant millionaires made an absolute bucketload whilst the commoners were skint what would we say to that?

Debates don't work when you try to act superior then call someone a toddler.
Why not try actually engaging in what he said and countering (if you can) any of the points he raised?
Could it be because it's easier to ignore them and distract attention from it by calling him a toddler?
Its possible. It makes sense. Nothing else really makes sense. This isn't a case where some agree and some disagree. Almost no one agrees. Markets don't agree. BoE doesn't agree.
It was clear what truss wanted during voting. And she got in.
To be honest. I'm not sure what's worse. The fiscally responsibile party getting it this wrong? Or corruption.
I've never been one for conspiracy stuff. But I cant make sense of this.

I don't think they are institutionally corrupt, there are certainly a lot of corrupt individuals on all sides that are lining their pockets. I think the current government are just idiots that believe their own hype and believe all the smoke the right wing rags such as the mail, express, torygraph have been blowing up their collective arses for the last 12 years.
it's likely that he can't engage as when you boil it down what I said it exactly what will happen. It happens in every boom / bust cycle. The haves will have more and the have nots will get ******............. He is clearly comfortable with that as it fits his ideology
Time for Bailey to grow a pair with that big salary slacking up until now.
I bet they just issue a statement with no changes to the rate. There's been a bit of a recovery of the gbp. Is an emergency rise being prices in?

Legally I don't think they are corrupt, morally, definitely and pretty sure their policies would have a positive impact in their own pocket.
I do wonder when they make budget like this, do they ask any economic professors or think tank whether it is indeed a good idea or a sound plan?
