Indeed a brace of cruise missiles some B52 Stealth bombers and a whole heap Russian airbases, Logistics depots and maybe the odd ship taken out with precision.....

B52 isn't stealth, the B2 is stealth, but look up the soon to be publicly presented B21.
The B21 is apparently 2 generations + improvement in stealth compared to the B2

Maybe US can donate the old B2s to Ukraine once the 21s are fully live. (I joke though they are about 4-5 years off full go live as such)
Would be worth it to see what Putin did then ;)

A tactical nuke must look really appealing just now to Putin.
tactical nukes have a relatively short blast radius. using one would probably cost Putin more in NATO losses than the benefits it would bring.

They use one all hell breaks loose and Russians will be carpet bombed by b52's, ships sunk and no doubt there is a lot of NATO subs kicking about the area

It really wouldn't be worth the backlash unless the use a lot of them, then everyone losses.

My mistake plane nerd :)

But you get the point.

if this is true, it may have a bigger impact on Russia.
Iran and Ukraine had a good relationship. it only soured when they started selling Russia drones.

Like China they were trading partners, this is why They tend to abstain rather than agree with Russia

Only Russia wanted this war

China and Iran will be livid with Russia because all they have done is pushed Ukraine right into NATO's arms.

Ukraines resources are huge, the west will get first dibs on them now.

Looks like RU are setting up their next defensive line at Милове (Mylove) 20km south of Dudchany, where they can try to block or blow up part of the bridge to slow AFU progress.

After that it's another bridge at Novokairy and then onto several towns and villages on the road to the more populated coastal towns on the Dnipro.

AFU might decide to halt their advanced south and cut north eastwards to cut off RU and encircle them.

Moving on from last night it looks like the AFU have RU forces in a disorganized retreat all the way back to Beryslav.

Davydiv Brid, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Starosillya have all been liberated.

On the northern front some more good news:

Many of Russia's allies or at least closer economic partners also rely heavily on Ukraine for grain - one of the reasons Russia came to some agreement over shipments though that still seems to be a mess. Something else Russia doesn't really seem to have thought through due to seeming to think Ukraine would fall quickly and relatively intact.

On the northern front some more good news:

The backbone of those forces is Russia's 20th combined arms and 1st Guards, along with 4th Guards - some of Russia's premier heavy forces - though it would be wrong to claim as some do that those divisions/army groups are deployed at army or division strength - it is mostly individual regiments and battalions.

I had horrible visions at the start they would press along the south to Transdniestria in Moldova.
That was almost certainly their intention until the russian army turned out not to be worth a ******* pot and the ukranians proved to be unexpectedly dogged and determined freedom fighters, most people felt the same I'm sure pretty sure I did but reality had other ideas. The other surprise was NATO weapons which really showed up russian inadequacy

I was speaking to a Ukrainian Polish friend and she had a interesting point of view that i was unaware of as a possible cause of the start of the conflict whether their was any truth in the matter I don't know, but it boils down to the fall the soviet union and Ukraine becoming independent part of the deal was that very large sum of Ukrainian GDP was to be paid to Russia 60-70% so considering the natural resources and land mass to agriculture and the state of the Ukraine you do wonder why it was well a bit run down.

But anyhoo Ukraine decided to stop paying this and Putin went in as don't you dare we will take it from you now..... and we are where we are.

When are Russia going to send in the "best", must be waiting for near defeat or something.....

People also laughed at me when I said Russia was heavily dependant on rail for logistics and that upgrades to the railways to and along the Ukraine border, under the guise taking advantage of COVID to do mainteance, were a significant indicator the invasion might be for real this time...

There is a post on Reddit saying the Orcs made over half a billion dollars selling stolen Ukrainian grain. :(

Looks to be South Korea? so probably not relevant to this thread, albeit not really a more appropriate existing thread currently.
