That whole situation was silly, regardless of whether Musk tried to use the situation for PR or not - Unsworth was not a cave diver in that rescue (I'm not sure he is even dive certified) - he had expert knowledge of cave mapping and that cave system, Musk was in liaison with one of the guys who was actually diving who encouraged him to continue working on backup options. Unsworth's comments were seemingly born out of an irrational prejudice against Musk rather than the ins and outs of the situation.

The submarine though ultimately impractical for the situation could have had application for an intermediate stage alleviating the need to keep the kids medicated for the whole journey but ultimately wasn't necessary.

Depends on the ammo. I thought that ZSU-23 ammo was proximity/impact fused HE for AA use. 23mm APCR/HVAP rounds applied liberally to a T-72 might not penetrate the hull or turret, but it’ll be a rapid mobility kill.

I think it was his suggestion that Ukraine hand over large parts of the country to Russia that rightly upset Ukrainians. They are dying over there to keep their land and culture. Hardly a surprise they perhaps let their anger show in some tweets. Musk is as thin skinned as they come with the exception of Trump. This conflict has been the best advertising for Starlink he could have ever got. Now most people have heard of it where as before only nerds had heard of it.

He does..massively, he got hugely rich from the mammoth subsidies given to him by the US tax payers and Govs. So yes, he owes it in spades, stock manipulations etc
Also saying and MASSIVLY talking costs to " him" when that has all been debunked, hes barley spent a thing, no saying " jee Im going to put a made up "tariff of $4500" on each star link , when poepl who use them say that's not even a option for their system.
On the same day, they opened an investigation into him.....funny that. The man is a sociopathic scum bag
 
One possibility about the Kerch Bridge being suspicious is that it wasn't one of the chattering factions or Ukraine or a third party and that actually it was ordered directly by Putin himself to explain away the probability of losing Crimea. I think that repairs will take so long such that they can create a narrative that if they could only have fixed it sooner they'd have prevailed over the entire conflict which in their narrative includes the whole West (apparently).

Then again maybe not.

I have zero influence in the matter so worrying about potential scenarios is a total waste of my time. If I was a famous multi billionaire technocrat, with a state of the art space communications network, access to world leaders and a massive social media following it might be a different matter. I'll get back to twirling some spanners... :)

So you feel free to criticise the current scenario (isn't that a total waste of your time as well?) but when asked to propose an alternative, you have nothing.

The world does not revolve around Ukraine, there are freedom struggles going on all around the world that have just as much merit as theres. No one in this world is owed anything by anyone

I definitely don't agree with all the Musk defending. He's an idiot that got way in over his head, and now he is scared of the nuclear response to the point that, by pure coincidence and nothing else, all these issues start coming to light once Ukraine are making good progress.

The US should just take the sats already.
