Storm Shadow seems to be operating well if shooting it down is proving challenging. Isn't this an old missile which will be replaced with an even better one soon?

No. The NATO treaties don't cover the Falklands because Article 6 of the NATO agreement specifies that it only applies to territories North of the Tropic of Cancer. It is a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation after all.

In service for 20 years, mid life update in 2017, out of service date is around 2032, with the `Spear 5` as the replacement

In all honesty Prighozin is about the only Russian who is safe to run his mouth and what he wants and not have to worry about the consequences given he has a whole army to protect him.

You have to look from different angle. He is putler's mouth. He never blaims him for anything. We all know who started this war. It was not Shoigu or Gerasimov.
